In his first season at the helm of the Bulldogs, he led the University squad to a 10-3 start to the season that included the Fresno Location Des Moines, Iowa State Classic championship and a program-record five wins Founded 1881 in the month of November. As a result, Giacoletti was named the NABC District 13, USBWA District 8, and Mountain West Team Information Conference Coach of the Year. Sophomore center Andrew Bogut became Utah’s first consensus 2014-15 Record 9-22 National Player of the Year, winning the John R. Wooden Award, Naismith, National Association of Basketball Coaches and Associated Press Player of the Year honors. In three seasons on the Utah 2014-15 MVC Record 6-12 bench, he amassed a 54-40 record. 2014-15 H/A/N Record 8-6/1-11/0-5 Prior to taking the reins at Utah, he served as the head coach at Eastern Washington University Starters Returning/Lost 4/3 where he went 69-50 in four seasons, the best mark of any coach in the school’s NCAA Division I Letterwinners Returning/Lost 6/4 history. He guided the Eagles to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2004, as well as the Newcomers 7 Big Sky Conference regular-season and tournament titles. In each of Giacoletti’s first three years, the Eagles placed second in the Big Sky during the regular season and advanced to the tournament Program History championship game.
