WEEK 4 TERM 3 Monday 13th August 2018

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Week 3 was full of exciting learning opportunities for our students and we all enjoyed welcoming our guests into our school for our Education Week celebrations.

Healthy Harold dropped in to Naradhan on Tuesday, teaching Infants about the qualities of a good friend and Primary students learned about building positive, safe and respectful relationships. Students will continue learning about relationships as part of their learning in PDHPE. A big thank you to Matt and Bec Brown who picked the van up and got it to Naradhan for us!

Although the weather wasn’t ideal for outdoor Primary students were involved in some role play to Maths activities on Wednesday, students and staff explore how tone and body language can impact how enjoyed a great day at for the Small respectful our words are. Schools Maths Day. Students were in small groups and rotated around a range of hands-on activities, practising number and measurement skills. It was also a great opportunity to catch up with students from other schools and is fantastic to see some friendships growing.

Many thanks to all who attended our Education Week celebrations on Thursday. We were lucky to have Mrs Karen Burke, Director, Educational Leadership, attend our assembly and present school leaders, Lily and Kaleb, with a special leadership award. Lily and Kaleb were recognised for their leadership at NPS so far this year. The weather was perfect for a picnic lunch after assembly and students enjoyed a tabloid sports afternoon.

ITAV Hi all,

Kate and I are very sad to let everyone know, ITAV will no longer be visiting Naradhan. Our last session was last Wednesday. This was due to funding requirements changing. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Naradhan and have made some wonderful connections with your community. We would like to especially thank Helen and Christina for their support through the years and the Naradhan school for cheerfully hosting our events. We are sincerely sad to be saying goodbye and wish your wonderful community the best for the future. Till we see each other again,

Kind regards, Julie & Kate
