Warner Bros. Brings Fans Free Virtual Event With DCFanDome

With San Diego Comic-Con going virtual this year from July 22-26, Warner Bros.' DC Universe has decided to throw DCFanDome, its own free one-day fan event on Aug. 22 starting at 10 a.m.

The global event will immerse fans into the DC Multiverse, including TV series, films, games and comics. It will host panels and events around , The , , , , DC Super Hero Girls, DC's , DC's Stargirl, , The , , the SnyderCut of , Lucifer, Pennyworth, SHAZAM!, The , , & Lois, Teen GO!, Titans, , : and, coming this fall to theaters worldwide, 1984.

Events of the day will include opportunities to see exclusive footage and to explore themed virtual worlds. There will also be presentations timed to include fans in every global time zone in local languages.Â

"There is no fan like a DC fan. For more than 85 years, the world has turned to DC's inspiring heroes and stories to lift us up and entertain us, and this massive, immersive digital event will give everyone new ways to personalize their journey through the DC Universe without lines, without tickets and without boundaries," said Ann Sarnoff, Warner Bros.' chair and CEO, in a statement. "With DC FanDome, we're able to give fans from around the world an exciting and unparalleled way to connect with all their favorite DC characters, as well as the incredible talent who bring them to life on the page and screen."

Fans will start the day at the Hall of Heroes where they can experience special programming, panels and content reveals in many languages, including Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. From the Hall of Heroes, they can explore five satellite worlds, each with its own localized content and unique activities.

DC WatchVerse is where fans can watch hours of content, including panels, screenings and never-before-seen footage featuring the casts, creators and crew from across the DC Universe. In the DC YouVerse, fans will see and contribute their own content, including cosplay and fan art. DC KidsVerse is built especially for kids with plenty of family-friendly activations. DC InsiderVerse will feature the artists who create the world of DC. Finally, DC FunVerse is full of collectibles, shareables and swag, as well as a store stuffed with merchandise, including limited-edition exclusives.

DC FanDome also will host the second annual celebration of Black nerd culture with its Blerd & Boujee House. Last year, DJ D-Nice, who has made a name for himself by playing long Instagram live sets during quarantine, played the first ever Blerd & Boujee Boat Party at San Diego Comic-Con. This year, it all goes virtual.

And finally, fans can submit their cosplay, makeup, tattoos, Batcaves and whatever else their fandom has inspired to create.DCFanDome.com for a chance to be featured during the event.
