Hi, my name is Tom Smeets and I would like to help you finding the best online poker site! I run a Facebook group named Poker Ecosystem – The Dynamic Approach that you can join to stay up to date in the ever-changing poker environment. Here I show 5 tips that I have been using helping players find their best option. TIP 1: UNDERSTANDING YOUR WINRATE The dynamic approach refers to how you can maximize your winrate in the poker environment. Most players use a static way in the sense that they stick to 1 or 2 very large sites for years. Below the breakdown of your winrate is shown. A large factor determining how much rake you pay are the rake structures poker sites obtain. The better the structure the less rake is paid and the higher your winrate after rake will be, the number that is displayed in your Holdem Manager or Poker Tracker. Rakeback and bonus money are two net benefits that increase your winrate further and is worth a comparison between poker sites. TIP 2: PLAY UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS: RAKE STRUCTURES Best current rake structure for stakes NL/PLO 2-50 (0,01-0,02 – 0,25-0,50 blinds): Some of the worst rake structures: Best current rake structures for stakes NL/PLO 100-5k (1-2 – 25-50 blinds): Some of the worst rake structures: Above is the rake structure that the Asian site GG Network uses with very high caps for No-Limit Hold’em. Their Pot-Limit Omaha way of charging rake is 3% uncapped. Although this might be interesting for certain low stakes this is absolutely killing at high stakes. Let’s assume 2 $1000 stacks go all-in, then $60 will be charged in rake where it would be capped (maximally charged) at $3 at Pokerstars or Partypoker. TIP 3: BENEFIT FROM EXTRA RAKEBACK There are mainly 2 ways how the most familiar poker sites give rake back to players. They either use a flat rakeback percentage or a tiered VIP-system. The higher VIP-level you achieve the more your earning back percentage becomes. Sites where you can earn rake back are commonly offering between 20-40%. Examples of good options: Offers a 30% flat rakeback deal if you use the link WHERE Offers 20% to everyone and if you rake X amount of points you move to the 25, 30 and 40% tier respectively. Examples of bad options: Effectively around 4% rakeback in the new reward system. Not possible to change earned points in cash money. TIP 4: CLEAR SIGN-UP BONUSES This is the tip where a dynamic approach plays a large role. To make maximum use of the opportunities that are out there, you should switch sites in order to clear the most of the first-deposit bonuses out there. If you play for example on the Microgaming Network at the Betsson site, when the bonus is expired after 60 days you should switch to a new site at the same network (Betsafe for example) to clear a new bonus. In this way you are maximizing your winrate at all times! First-deposit bonuses ranges between $500 and $2500 with an average bonus of $1000. The amount matter as well as the clearance rate. When the clearance rate is 20% you earn $1 bonus for every $5 you rake. The average clearance rate in the industry is between 20 and 25%. The best first-deposit bonus both in terms of amount and clearance rate is the Chico Network, for example BetOnline. A 100% up to $2500 bonus with a clearance rate of 33%. TIP 5: STAY UPDATED The poker ecosystem is changing at whole times. The dynamic approach gives you the opportunity to maximize your winrate and its important to be aware of the latest changes! Therefore, I recommend to sign-up at the Facebook group (Poker Ecosystem – The Dynamic Approach) where I will keep you informed.
