ALBUM FACTS Genre: Television Packaging Specs: Single DVD; Running Time: 158 minutes Description: MORE HILARITY WITH CAROL AND HER FUNNY CAST & GUESTS!

Go ahead…try not to laugh! THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW is still zany after all these years. From 1967 to 1978, this program tickled America’s funny bone on CBS with a blend of comedy, song and dance that made the Emmy Award–winning program “Must See TV” decades before another network coined the phrase. Carol and company—, , Lyle Waggoner, and later and Dick Van Dyke—entertained millions each week joined by some of the biggest stars in the business. Ad libs and the occasional flubbed line brought a spontaneity to the screen that was absent from most other variety shows.

TOGETHER AGAIN features three UNCUT episodes as they originally aired on television and features special guest stars Ruth Buzzi, Richard Crenna, Roddy McDowall, and Gloria Swanson.

WHY BUY? This exclusive DVD features 3 un-edited episodes. See “The Family,” with Eunice, Mama and Roddy McDowall as brother Phillip. Includes hilarious movie parodies High Hat and Raised to Be Rotten. Long-running sketches “The Old Folks” and “Carol and Sis.” Over 2 ½ hours of comedy fun. Carol Burnett won the prestigious 2013 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. Proven Winner: Over 4 million DVDs already sold!

ARTIST & INFO Carol Burnett: Warm and welcoming, tremendously talented and fantastically funny, Carol Burnett is all this and more! Her unique gifts were never more perfectly showcased than on The Carol Burnett Show—a program that still stands as the gold standard of TV variety shows. For 11 seasons, from 1967 to 1978, Carol delivered a breathtaking, laugh-inducing mix of pop culture spoofs, madcap sketch comedy, and stunning musical production numbers, aided by a now legendary supporting cast that included Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence, and Lyle Waggoner. Carol never failed to delight, to entertain and to let us know that she was glad “we had this time together.”

ARTIST & INFO Hometown: New Orleans, LA Band Members: Mac Rebennack Dr. John, or Mac Rebennack as known to friends and family, is universally celebrated as the living embodiment of the rich musical heritage exclusive to New Orleans. His very colorful musical career began in the 1950s when he wrote and played guitar on some of the greatest records to come out of the Crescent City, including recordings by Professor Longhair, , Joe Tex and Frankie Ford. A notorious gun incident forced the artist to give up the guitar and concentrate on organ and piano. Further trouble at home sent Dr. John west in the 1960s, where he continued to be in demand as a session musician, playing on records by Sonny and Cher, Van Morrison and Aretha Franklin to name a few. He also launched his solo career, developing the charismatic persona of Dr. John The Night Tripper. Adorned with voodoo charms and regalia, a legend was born with his breakthrough 1968 album Gris-gris , which established his unique blend of voodoo mysticism, , rhythm & , psychedelic rock and Creole roots. Several of his many career highlights include the masterful album Sun, Moon and Herbs in 1971 which included cameos from and Mick Jagger and 1973's In The Right Place, which contained the chart hits"Right Place Wrong Time" and "Such A Night."

Rhiannon Giddens, singer, , multi-instrumentalist, and founding member of Grammy Award-winning Carolina Chocolate Drops, makes her solo recording debut with Tomorrow Is My Turn, due out February 10, 2015, on . (The vinyl will follow on March 3.) The album was produced by T Bone Burnett.

Burnett first worked with Giddens when she performed last fall at a concert he curated at New York City’s Town Hall that was later broadcast on Showtime: Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating the Music of “.” Backstage, Burnett was immediately moved to ask if he could produce a record with her. “It was clear the first time I heard her at rehearsal that Rhiannon is next in a long line of singers that include Marian Anderson, , Mahalia Jackson, Rosetta Tharpe,” Burnett says. “We need that person in our culture.”

For her first solo disc, Giddens chose a broad range of songs from genres as diverse as gospel, , blues, and country. In addition to the traditional “Black Is the Color,” tracks include Hank Cochran’s “She’s Got You,” made famous by ; ’s “Don't Let It Trouble Your Mind”; “O Love Is Teasin’,” popularized by the -reared “mother of folk” Jean Ritchie; and Elizabeth Cotton’s “Shake Sugaree.”

“I had already started putting together a list of songs that didn’t really fit into the Chocolate Drops world,” Giddens explains. “At the top was ‘Tomorrow Is My Turn’ [immortalized by ]. Seeing Nina do it on YouTube was revelatory. I knew she’d gone through a lot of hard times, as so many people did in that time period. Watching her sing this song, with the words ‘tomorrow is my turn,’ I began to think about the struggle of her and women like her.” The significance of this song led Giddens to make it the title of the album as well. “Other songs started getting on my list and they were all by women or interpreted by women,” she says.

Tomorrow Is My Turn was recorded in Los Angeles and , with a multi-generational group of players whom Burnett assembled. Among them are player Gabe Witcher and double bassist Paul Kowert of label-mates ; percussionist Jack Ashford of Motown’s renowned Funk Brothers; drummer Jay Bellerose; guitarist Colin Linden; legendary backup singer Tata Vega; veteran Nashville session bassist Dennis Crouch; and Giddens’ Drops touring band-mates, multi-instrumentalist Hubby Jenkins and beat-boxer Adam Matta.

Tomorrow Is My Turn follows Giddens’ work with , , , and on Lost On The River: , an album also produced by Burnett that was released in November 2014. Her contribution was hailed by magazine as the “showstopper…evoking antebellum blues with a magnificent voice that interrogates the myths stirred up at Big Pink.” The New York Times agreed, saying “On lead vocals she’s the album’s revelation, melodies that hark back to Celtic modes with a decisive presence and a haunting grace.”

ARTIST & INFO Hometown: Greensboro, It was near the close of the first half of the T Bone Burnett–curated, September 2013 Another Day, Another Time concert at New York City’s Town Hall—a celebration of the early ’60s folk revival that had inspired the ’ film Inside Llewyn Davis—when an extraordinary star-is-born moment occurred and singer Rhiannon Giddens, best known as a member of the Grammy–winning Carolina Chocolate Drops, indisputably stole the show. Performing Odetta’s “Water Boy” with, as the New York Times later put it, “the fervor of a spiritual, the yips of a folk holler, and the sultry insinuation of the blues,” Giddens brought the celebrity-studded audience to its feet. She followed that up with an amazing, tongue-twisting medley in Gaelic that garnered a second standing ovation. Giddens was the talk of the lobby during intermission and at the exclusive party afterwards. “Who on Earth was that,” people excitedly said to each other, “and where can we go to hear more?” Backstage, the savvy Burnett already knew the answer and was immediately moved to ask if he could produce a record with her. The stunning result of their collaboration, Tomorrow Is My Turn, which deftly incorporates folk, jazz, gospel and the blues, will be Giddens’ solo debut record in early 2015.

A mere two days after that star turn, Giddens was impressing the cast and crew on the set of Showtime’s Nurse Jackie, playing a Brooklyn square-dance caller in a scene that would be among the most memorable of the last season. The role harkened back to Giddens’ own entry into the world of old-time music.

Enrolled at Oberlin Conservatory, studying opera, Giddens began to do contra-dance calling on the weekends. At first a playful musical detour, it prefigured the unique course her career would take. Reviving, interpreting, and recasting traditional material from a variety of sources has been central to Giddens’ career, especially in her groundbreaking work with the Carolina Chocolate Drops (CCDs), who also routinely bring sold-out concert audiences to their feet. With their two Nonesuch , (2010, Grammy winner) and Leaving Eden (2012) the CCDs have shared the role African-American performers and played in U.S. folk-music history, while making recordings that are vital, contemporary, and exuberant.

Giddens’ journey, in a larger sense, began in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, where she was raised—an area with a rich legacy of old-time music, black and white, that Giddens would explore in depth after college. She met her original CCDs band-mates at 2005’s Black Gathering in Boone, NC, and got schooled in the Piedmont’s traditional music by Joe Thompson, an elderly African-American fiddle player who passed on to Giddens and her cohorts many of the songs that would comprise their early repertoire.Giddens is an American original—an artist with an unforgettable voice who culls the music of our collective past to point the way to the future, one in which her name will surely be well-known from the moment she steps on a stage.

The Meters defined New Orleans funk, not only on their own recordings, but also as the backing band for numerous artists, including many produced by . Where the funk of Sly Stone and James Brown was wild, careening, and determinedly urban, The Meters were down-home and earthy. Nearly all of their own recordings were instrumentals, putting the emphasis on the organic and complex rhythms. The syncopated, layered percussion intertwined with the gritty grooves of the guitar and organ, creating a distinctive sound that earned a small, devoted cult during the '70s, including musicians like Paul McCartney and Robert Palmer, both of whom used the group as a backing band for recording. Despite their reputation as an extraordinary live band, The Meters never broke into the mainstream, but their sound provided the basis for much of the funk and hip-hop of the '80s and '90s.

ARTIST & INFO Hometown: Crescent City, Florida Band Members: William Ward (Billybad) Bobby Wooten Jerry Flowers Fitzgerald Scott Keith Sweat, a Harlem-born R&B singer/songwriter known for his distinctive "whining" vocal style, co-produced 1984/1985 singles by GQ and Roberta Gilliam and issued independent singles of his own ("Lucky Seven" and "My Mind Is Made Up"), but he didn't release his debut full-length, Make It Last Forever, until November 1987. The album sold over three million copies, spawning the hits "" (number one R&B, number five pop), "Something Just Ain't Right" (number three R&B), "Make It Last Forever" (number two R&B), and "Don't Stop Your Love" (number nine R&B). It was followed in 1990 by I'll Give All My Love to You, another million-seller, which featured the hits "" (number one R&B, number 14 pop), "Merry Go Round" (number two R&B), "I'll Give All My Love to You" (number one R&B, number seven pop), and "Your Love, Pt. 2" (number four R&B). Sweat's third album was Keep It Comin', an R&B chart-topper at the end of 1991, whose title track was another number one R&B hit. From then on, his profile slowly dipped, but he maintained a devoted following while recording the occasional contemporary set, including Get Up on It (1994), Keith Sweat (1996), (1998). Didn't See Me Coming (2000), Rebirth (2002), Just Me (an R&B chart-topper in 2008), Ridin' Solo (2010), and ' (2011). Two albums recorded with and Johnny Gill, billed as LSG (and released in 1997 and 2003), were considerably successful, and he also produced a handful of '90s acts (, Kut Klose, Ol' Skool, Dru Hill). During the 2000s, he hosted a syndicated radio program called The Sweat Hotel and starred in the Centric channel's reality program Keith Sweat's Platinum House, in which he facilitated a turbulent Dru Hill reunion.

Christian Mazzalai – guitar(1999–present)

The French group Phoenix draw elements from their eclectic '80s upbringing to arrive at a satisfying blend of rock and synthesizers. Vocalist Thomas Mars, bassist Deck d'Arcy, and guitarist Christian Mazzalai were a garage band based out of Mars' house in the suburbs of Paris. Mazzalai's older brother Branco joined the band on guitar when his band Darlin' disbanded in 1995.

The group got its touring start on the French bar circuit doing Hank Williams and covers to drunken audiences. Two years later the band took on the name Phoenix and pressed 500 copies of a single on its own label, Ghettoblaster. The A-side was a punk rock song and the other a chugging Krautrocker, hinting at their eclectic tastes. Shortly after, they were signed to the Paris-based Source Records. Phoenix became well acquainted with labelmates Air when they acted as their backing band on several U.K. TV appearances. The result of the electronic exposure was a single called "Heatwave," which was very similar in approach to '70s .
