STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS 2004 No. 3211 LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ENGLAND The Local Authorities (Categorisation) (England) (No. 2) Order 2004 Made - - - - 6th December 2004 Laid before Parliament 10th December 2004 Coming into force - - 31st December 2004 The First Secretary of State, having received a report from the Audit Commission(a) produced under section 99(1) of the Local Government Act 2003(b), in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 99(4) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order: Citation, commencement and application 1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Categorisation) (England) (No.2) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 31st December 2004. (2) This Order applies in relation to English local authorities(c). Categorisation report 2. The English local authorities, to which the report of the Audit Commission dated 8th November 2004 relates, are, by this Order, categorised in accordance with their categorisation in that report. Excellent authorities 3. The local authorities listed in Schedule 1 to this Order are categorised as excellent. Good authorities 4. The local authorities listed in Schedule 2 to this Order are categorised as good. Fair authorities 5. The local authorities listed in Schedule 3 to this Order are categorised as fair. (a) For the definition of “the Audit Commission”, see section 99(7) of the Local Government Act 2003. (b) 2003 c.26. The report of the Audit Commission consists of a letter from the Chief Executive of the Audit Commission to the Minister for Local and Regional Government dated 8th November 2004 with the attached list of local authorities categorised by the Audit Commission as of that date. -

IntroductionSupporting Groups PARTNERSHIP There are other groups covering the following areas that will support the work of the Purbeck Community Partnership Task Groups: SPORT AND RECREATION Sport and recreation activities have traditionally been promoted for their own sake, however, they are now also being used to increase the quality of life for individuals and communities by successfully tackling locally identified social issues. Sport and recreation has a very important role in delivering many of the key issues that have been identified in the Purbeck Community Plan. Although sport and recreation has not been considered as a priority theme in its own right it can act as a 'vehicle' or 'tool' to help deliver the priority themes of crime reduction, transport, health, and young people. Winning the bid to host the Olympics in 2012 has guaranteed that nationally sport and recreation will have a high profile for the foreseeable future. TOURISM Purbeck District Council Tourism Service aims to ensure that the community and economic benefits which tourism brings are maximised for the majority of the District's population, consistent with the need to minimise environmental impact. This is achieved in partnership with a number of organisations including: Town & Parish Councils, Purbeck Heritage Committee, Purbeck Tourism Group, the Association of Purbeck Tourism Attractions, Swanage & Purbeck Hoteliers, the Best of Dorset Attractions Consortium, and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site team, to name a few. -

Discrete elements of the analysis, purely relating to supply, were completed beyond this point due to the limitations of lockdown. Executive Summary 1. This Economic Needs Assessment has been produced by Turley – alongside a separate but linked Housing Needs Assessment (HNA) – on behalf of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council (‘the Councils’). It is intended to update their employment land evidence, last reviewed in 20151, and comply with national planning policy that has since been revised2. It provides evidence to inform the preparation of a Joint Local Plan, while establishing links with ambitious economic strategies that already exist to address local and wider priorities in this area. 2. It should be noted at the outset that while this report takes a long-term view guided by trends historically observed over a reasonable period of time, it has unfortunately been produced at a time of exceptional economic volatility. -

The SCI was adopted by Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council on the 15th July 2015 and by Stoke-on-Trent City Council on the 9th July 2015. Prior to adoption, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council respective committees and Cabinets have considered the documents. Newcastle-under- Lyme Borough Council’s Planning Committee considered a report on the consultation responses and suggested changes to the SCI on the 3RD June 2015 and recommended a grammatical change at paragraph 2.9 (replacing the word which with who) and this was reported to DMPG on the 9th June 2015. -
Universal Credit National Expansion
Universal Credit national expansion – Tranches One and Two Following the successful roll out of Universal Credit in the north-west of England, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) can provide details of the first and second tranches of national expansion to local authorities and jobcentre areas. Universal Credit will roll out to new claims from single people, who would otherwise have been eligible for Jobseeker’s Allowance, including those with existing Housing Benefit and Working Tax Credit claims. The list below confirms the go live dates for Tranches One and Two which will begin to deliver Universal Credit between February and July 2015. Dorset Council’s Plan 2020 - 2024 DRAFT Introduction This is the Dorset Council plan which sets out our ambitions for the next four years. It incorporates the political vision of your new councillors. Our ambition is to put Dorset Council at the heart of the community. The creation of the new council on 1 April 2019 Local Government has enabled us to make significant savings which Reorganisation have been reinvested into council services: Dorset was served by nine councils until 1 April 2019 • the reduction in the number of councillors from 204 when a local government reorganisation reduced these to 82 has produced £400,000 per year in savings to two: • the reduction in the number of senior manager roles, • Dorset Council and staffing costs in areas of duplication like finance, (formerly Dorset County Council, East Dorset District HR, and IT will achieve savings of £5.2m in 2019/20 Council, North Dorset District Council, Purbeck District and £10m per year in a full council year Council, West Dorset District Council, Weymouth & Portland Borough Council) • the reduction of costs for insurance, audit fees and other activities where the council now only pays for • Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council one organisation rather than six. (formerly Bournemouth Borough Council, Christchurch Borough Council, Borough of Poole Council) Despite this, the council faces significant financial challenges mainly due to growing demand for: Why did we come together to form a new unitary council? • support for children with special educational needs and disabilities • To protect frontline services by reducing costs and duplication. The money saved is being reinvested • the rising number of children taken into care to keep into services including housing, road maintenance, them safe from immediate risk of harm schools, social care and waste collection. -

Redh DONCASTER INFRASTRUCTURE STRATEGY MEETING OUR LONG TERM INVESTMENT NEEDS ANNEX MARCH 2019 1 INTRODUCTION This report is the annex to the Doncaster Infrastructure Strategy main report. It amends the 2015 report with updated baseline data and scheme information. All data is a correct as at spring 2019. The Doncaster Infrastructure Strategy consists of the following sections. A main report setting out the key infrastructure needs facing the borough and how they will be addressed. An annex containing a more detailed description of the key infrastructure proposals and projects. A short summary of main findings and recommendations of the report. The main report includes a schedule of the key infrastructure projects that are required or are desirable to support Doncaster’s growth. This annex covers the following themes. 1. Transportation (strategic highways, rail transport, cycling and bus transport). 2. Education and learning (primary, secondary and further education). 3. Green infrastructure (greenspaces, green routes and biodiversity). 4. Health and social care. 5. Flooding and drainage infrastructure. 6. Community, sport and cultural facilities. 7. Energy and telecommunications. 8. Utilities (gas, electricity and waste water). This annex also highlights gaps in provision (in the absence of funding or committed projects) and looks at how these can be addressed. Copies of these documents are available from our website at www.doncaster.gov.uk/localplan. The information is accurate as of Spring 2019. The Doncaster Infrastructure Strategy will be updated as new information becomes available and infrastructure proposals are confirmed in more detail. 2 CHAPTER 1: TRANSPORTATION 1.1. Brampton Bierlow Christ Church In the Mission Partnership of Wath, Wombwell and Brampton Bierlow Releasing the Whole People of God for the Whole Mission of God If you have a passion for Setting God’s People Free, then perhaps the Lord is calling you to be the interim priest in charge at Christ Church, Brampton Bierlow. Here in the Diocese of Sheffield, we are currently re-configuring stipendiary incumbency, as the priestly ministry of enabling every member of the people of God to enter the full dignity of their baptism, by playing a full part in the service of God in the whole of life. This ministry is therefore one of nurturing, developing and fostering the gifts and especially the leadership potential of others — it is a ministry of experimentation and risk-taking, of pioneering, and of sharing in the responsibility of the Bishop for the oversight of the body of Christ ‘delighting in its beauty and rejoicing in its wellbeing’. In the Dearne Valley we have a once in a generation opportunity, through a successful Strategic Development Funding bid, to invest in the future of the church as we seek to ‘transform our society and God’s world’. The post of priest of Christ Church, Brampton Bierlow is integral to this challenge and opportunity. We are, therefore, seeking to appoint an able and resourceful priest whose heart will lift at the invitation to support this congregation, and the Mission Partnership generally, through a transition to a greater degree of every-member confidence and competence, so that the whole people of God are released (in the name of Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit) for the whole mission of God in that locality.
