SONGANDAPRAYER COLT TOPS FASIG- TIPTON The Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Eastern Fall Year- ling Sale, held this year with three sessions instead of two, concluded yesterday in Timonium, Maryland with positive results. Topping the session, and the sale, was hip 876, a Songandaprayer colt out of the winning Fortunate Prospect mare Tobin’s Fortune. Named Tobin’s Bobcat, the Paramount Sales consignee was purchased by Jess Jackson’s Stonestreet Stables. Neither Jackson nor his bloodstock advisor, John Moynihan, were able to attend yesterday, but both were on the phone with Fasig-Tipton officials as the topper went through the ring. “He’s a beautiful horse,” explained Moynihan after securing the bay. “He looks early, looks fast. He’s probably the best Songand- aprayer I’ve seen. He was the standout of the sale, but would have been a standout at any sale.” Last year’s two-day edition of the sale saw nine horses realize $100,000 or more, compared with 26 over this year’s three-day stand, and with average up 7.7 percent--from $21,889 to $23,577--sale officials were pleased. “We are delighted with the results,” said Fasig-Tipton’s Terence Collier. “We’ve been worried about supply and demand all year, but with a lot of big numbers coming late in the sale, we proved that the supply of quality yearlings is still met eagerly by demand.” TOP FOUR YEARLINGS - WEDNESDAY FASIG-TIPTON MIDLANTIC Hip Sex Sire Dam Price WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2005 876 c SongandaPrayer Tobin’s Fortune $375,000 B-Jorge Tabraue (Fl) Consigned by Paramount Sales, Agent XIV SESSION TOTALS *2005 Purchased by Stonestreet Stables LLC No. Offered 257 644 c Malibu Moon Picasso’s Girl $135,000 No. Sold 187 ($52,000 in utero ‘03 FTMDEC) RNAs 70 B-P.
