In the market towns, Jon Papworth the local Beat Managers continue their work – being visible in the communities, responding to con- cerns and problem-solving the SNAP priorities. In Swaffham, Beat Manager Pc Jo Higgins continues to make good progress tackling drugs issues with a mix of enforcement and partnership working to safeguard the vulnerable. She is aware and dealing with reports of groups of young people injur- ing ducks in the town – this is very much a live investigation and any information is appreciated. Watton Beat Manager Pc Ed Arbuthnot has been able to spend a good deal of time patrolling prior- ity and highlighted areas on foot and engaging with the local community. In Dereham Beat Manag- ers Pc Roger Benton, Pc Jon Downs and Pc Steve Howard have been working hard on the SNAP pri- orities – tackling rural crime, tackling drug misuse and cyclists on the pavement.
