My Intentions.

An Open Letter to the Voters of Senate District 10

Dear District 10 Voters,

First of all, thank you for allowing me the honor of representing you for the last twenty-two years in the state legislature, first in the House and then in the Senate. Together, we’ve accomplished a great deal. Together, we’ve made government respond to people. We’ve made government open and accessible to people. And we’ve made government get things done for people.

During my career in the legislature, I felt a desire to spend more time working locally and more closely with the people I serve. My intention was to run for the Jefferson Parish Council District 4 seat if it became available. And now with the election of Ben Zahn as Mayor of Kenner, that seat has indeed become available.

I will fulfill my service to the legislature during the upcoming session, and then I plan to run for the Council District 4 seat in October.

As you may know, there is currently some division on the council. My strength in the legislature is my ability to work across party lines, to find consensus among differing opinions, to bring civility where there was acrimony, and to make government work for the people it’s meant to serve.

As an elected official, I’ve learned that when people of good will work together, good things happen. That is the spirit I will bring to the Jefferson Parish Council. DANNY Those are my intentions. During the course of my campaign, I look forward to meeting you, sharing thoughts with you, and working with you to make Jefferson Parish government aware and responsive to your needs. MARTINY Sincerely, Danny Martiny JEFFERSON PARISH COUNCIL DISTRICT 4 Paid for by Danny Martiny Campaign Committee
