Despite undergoing treatment over a three-year period, Mrs. Holmes spent time volunteering in the community and at church before passing away on August 6, 2007. To honor Mrs. Holmes, her husband Troy established the foundation to pay the tuition and fees for a female student enrolled in Langston University’s School of Physical Therapy for a three-year period.
