Roman Catholic Registers

This is a list of the Roman Catholic registers at City of Westminster Archives Centre. None of these are original regsisters.

Anglican parish registers are listed in Information Sheet 1, and Non-Conformist registers are listed in Information Sheet 3.

Westminster Diocesan Archives holds some parish registers, and a list of these is available on their website at www.rcdow.org.uk, but most are still at the churches. For further information contact the Catholic Family History Society or the Catholic Archives Society, both via www.catholic-history.org.uk, or the Society of Genealogists (www.sog.org.uk), which has copies of some registers. There is also a useful booklet called Tracing your Catholic Ancestry in England by Michael Gandy.
