National Lockdown bus services – To Note Following the Governments National Lockdown announcement, the number of people travelling by bus will reduce but there is a need for shopping and medical appointments. From WEDNESDAY 6th JANUARY 2021 Xelabus will operate a reduced service and details are listed below: Service X4 (Hedge End area) This service will operate a Saturday service Monday to Saturday. The Sunday service will NOT OPERATE Service X6/X7 (ChandLers Ford and HILtingbury area) A reduced timetable will continue to operate from Hiltingbury And Chandlers Ford to and from Eastleigh on Mondays to Fridays. On a Saturday the service to and from Fryern Hill will continue to operate The Sunday service to and from Velmore will NOT OPERATE Service X8 (Boyatt Wood area) ThIs SUNDAY SERVICE wILL not operate Service X9 (Colden Common, Fair Oak, Horton Heath, Hedge End, Botley, CurdrIdge, Waltham Chase, Swanmore and Bishops Waltham areas) This service will operate a Saturday service Monday to Saturday Service X10 (Bishops Waltham, DurLey, West End areas) This service will operate a Saturday service Monday to Saturday Service X15 (Fair Oak, Horton Heath, Botley, Hedge End, Netley, HambLe areas) This service will continue to operate a Monday to Friday service Service X17 (Fair Oak, Upham, Bishops Waltham, Swanmore, Droxford areas) This service will continue to operate EVERY WEDNESDAY. 270/21/PL HIGHWAY MATTERS 1. Smart Motorway Programme - Sheet PILIng. All works will take place during the hours of 6.00am and 8.00pm, under a single lane one closure: Junction 9 to Junction 8 – westbound 4–8 Jan 21; 16 –17 Jan & 29 Jan–1 Feb Junction 8 – eastbound 22–25 Jan 2. Smart Motorway Programme - BarrIer Removal and SurfacIng. The temporary metal barriers at specific locations between junctions 9 and 10 will Planning & Highways Committee – 5th January 2021 be removed (originally installed to allow teams to work safely in the verges). This work is being carried out prior to the installation of the new permanent safety barrier. The removals are planned to take place overnight from 5-7 Jan 21. Surfacing works between junction 9 and 10 will take place from 7-8 Jan 21 and also on 13 Jan 21when we’ll be resurfacing lane four of the carriageway with a lower road noise surfacing. This activity can only be carried out overnight due to closure requirements. 3. CarrIageway Pothole Defect – SwaythLIng Road. This was reported to HCC Roads and Transport on 29th December 2020. Should receive a response within two weeks (subject to staff availability for site assessment). 5. Smart Motorway Programme – EmaiL from HIghways England (HE) regardIng A27 dIversIon route for nIght cLosures. Complaints received from local residents regarding overnight noise and disruption cause by diversion route. This was reported to HE on 10th December 20. Response from HE stated that, if work requires the motorway to be closed, then it can only be undertaken when traffic counts are low, which unfortunately is overnight. The A27 is an agreed diversion route for use when the M27 is closed between junctions 4 and 7.
