The Eucharist should “heal our ambition to lord it over others, to greedily hoard things for ourselves, to foment discord and criticism,” he said June 18, celebrating the feast of the Body and Blood of Christ. “May it awaken in us the joy of liv- ing in love, without rivalry, jealousy or mean-spirited gossip.” Pope Francis celebrated the Mass outside the Basilica of St. John Lat- eran, the cathedral of the Diocese of Rome.
