Bab I Pendahuluan
BAB I PENDAHULUAN 1.1 Latar Belakang Penelitian Presenter atau biasa disebut news anchor dituntut untuk dapat membawakan berita dengan baik sehingga informasi yang ingin disebarkan bisa diterima oleh masyarakat yang menyaksikan. Zoebazary (2010:174) menyatakan: Pembaca berita atau presenter berita adalah seseorang yang membawakan atau mengantarkan acara berita di televisi atau radio. Istilah ini biasanya dipakai di industri televisi di Indonesia dan merupakan padanan penyiar berita yang juga banyak dipakai di radio. Secara internasional, dikenal tiga kategori penyampai berita, yakni pembaca berita (news reader), penyaji berita (news caster) dan jangkar berita (news anchor). Sementara menurut Baksin (2009:156) news anchor merupakan seseorang yang membawakan materi berita dan sering terlibat dalam memberikan improvisasi seperti komentar dalam siaran langsung yang dibawakannya. Tidak sedikit anchor yang juga terlibat dalam penulisan berita bagi program yang akan dibawakan sendiri oleh anchor tersebut. Anchor juga biasanya ikut terlibat dalam mewawancarai narasumber di studio maupun memandu program diskusi. Peran news anchor sangatlah penting dalam setiap tayangan program berita di televisi. Bagus tidaknya suatu tayangan program berita sangat ditentukan oleh bagus tidaknya penampilan news anchor yang membawakan program tersebut. Penampilan news anchor menjadi bagian penting dari wajah suatu tayangan program berita. News anchor tidak hanya harus memiliki wawasan serta 1 2 pengetahuan yang luas, tapi juga dituntut untuk bisa bekerja dalam tekanan dan mempertahankan citra dirinya sendiri dihadapan khalayak luas. Menurut Boyd (dalam Baksin, 2009 : 159) seorang news anchor harus memiliki kredibilitas, otoritas, kejernihan dan kejelasan volume suara, berkepribadian kuat, profesionalisme yang tinggi, komunikatif serta penampilan yang prima. Ia juga menyebutkan seorang news anchor sebagai pribadi yang kuat dan berotoritas serta memiliki pengalaman dan kharisma dan kontrol emosi yang baik. -

Selain sebagai penyalur informasi dan pendidikan, media massa juga menjadi andalan pusat hiburan yang mudah untuk dijangkau. Kemudahan tersebut yang kemudian membuat kebutuhan audien akan informasi meningkat, dan membuat pelaku media madda memenuhi kebutuhan audien, terutama bagi media massa yang paling populer yakni televisi. Saat ini, terdapat 10 stasiun televisi swasta yang telah mewarnai peretelvisian Indonesia. SCTV, RCTI dan Indosiar lah yang merupakan stasiun televisi dengan rating and share tertinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi isi dalam menganalisis program-program yang terdapat pada tiga stasiun televisi tersebut berdasarkan unsur edutaiment yakni untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, mengambil sikap yang positif, menyesuaikan norma sosial, dan mengubah perilaku. Edutainment merupakan salah satu bentuk media pembelajaran yang dikemas dengan nuansa menghibur dan mendidik serta mudah dicerna oleh masyarakat. Dari total 276 program di SCTV, RCTI dan Indosiar, ternyata program yang dapat mengubah perilaku adalah program yang paling banyak jumlahnya persentase nya yaitu (87,02%) diikuti dengan program pengetahuan (3,4%), sikap positif (8,6%) dan norma sosial (0,93%). -

Keywords Regulation, Parent TV Station, Private TV station, Business orientation, TV broadcasting network JEL Classification D22; L21; L51; L82 Abstract Broadcasting TV occupies a significant position in the community. Therefore, all the countries in the world give attention to TV broadcasting business. In Indonesia, the government requires TV stations to broadcast locally, except through networking. In this state, there are 763 private TV companies broadcasting free to air. Of these, some companies have many TV stations and build various broadcasting networks. In this article, the author reveals the substantial TV stations that control the market, based on literature studies. From the data analysis, there are 14 substantial free to network broadcast private TV broadcasters but owns by eight companies; these include the MNC Group, EMTEK, Viva Media Asia, CTCorp, Media Indonesia, Rajawali Corpora, and Indigo Multimedia. Entman dan bagaimana program tersebut mengkonstruksinya. Tinjauan Pustaka dalam penelitian ini meliputi Media Massa, Berita, Ideologi Media, Konstruksi realitas oleh media massa, Analisis Framing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Pada metode deskriptif akan mengeksplorasi atau menjelajahi peristiwa yang akan diteliti secara mendalam. Penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana sebuah framing dibentuk oleh program berita, framing dibentuk dalam dua aspek yaitu seleksi isu dan penonjolan aspek tertentu dari suatu isu. Seleksi isu yang ditampilkan oleh segmen “Pilihan Indonesia 2019” di program Seputar iNews Siang menurut tim redaksi RCTI ialah berdasarkan kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan tema besar pemilu 2019 Penonjolan isu yang dilakukan oleh segmen “Pilihan Indonesia 2019” adalah berdasarkan tiga aspek yang mempengaruhi pemberitaan dalam suatu program yakni adalah bahasa yang menggungkapkan gagasan dengan kalimat, narasi , headline yang memperjelas penekanan. -

Prastya Communication Science Department, Faculty of Psychology and Socio-Cultural Sciences, Universitas Islam Indonesia [email protected] Abstract This paper aims to know about content of the news and editorial policy in Republika, when the media coverage news about Inter Milan and Satria Muda Pertamina. Both of the sport teams are owned by Erick Thohir, the boss of Republika. Based on literature, the interest of mass media owner and newsroom policy often difference. Because mass media owner have their goals, meanwhile the newsroom should obey the professional journalism standard. At the practice, the newsroom make usually make a compromise. This paper uses qualitative research methods. The data collecting technique are using documentary research and interviews. The documentary research held by collecting and analyzing news about Inter Milan and Satria Muda in Republika daily newspaper (print edition). The time period for Inter Milan news is August 2014 to October 2015 while Satria Muda in January to June 2016. At the time frame, both club did not win any competition that they were participated. So, at that time the club was in the negative period. The interviews held with the representative of the Republika sport section editor to confirm the result from text analysis. As the findings from text analysis, Republika always brings good news to Inter Milan and Satria Muda Pertamina, although both team was not winning the competition, and there were relatively much negative results in the single season.
