Portland Queer Comedy Festival is a first of it’s kind, multi-day, multi-venue queer-performer focused comedy festival. Portland Queer Comedy Festival is a collaboration between Andy Barrett, owner of Funhouse Lounge and Belinda Carroll; a long-time queer activist, writer, actress and stand-up comedian. Featuring 5 stages and over 40 comics, Portland Queer Comedy Festival aims to bring the best and brightest talent in international LGBTQ stand-up comedy to a beautiful, diverse and inclusive Portland, Oregon; while giving back to the local community that supports us through non-profit initiatives.

We have invited some of our favorite comics including;

Guy Branum (TruTV’s Talk Show The Game Show, The Mindy Project, Billy On The Street) Julie Goldman (Big Gay Sketch Show, The People’s Couch on Bravo) ANT (, VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club) Jason Stuart (Birth Of a Nation, Love Is Strange) Riley Silverman (Comedy Central, MTV) Sandra Valls (Showtime’s Latin Divas Of Comedy) Dana Goldberg (LOGO’s One Night Stand Up, HRC) Kate Willett (Comedy Central’s This is Not Happening) Maggie Maye (CONAN) Jeffery Jay (Best Transgender Comics, The Advocate) Robbie Hoffman (Odd Squad)

We’ve booked the best original voices in the country including local and regional favorites like D. Martin Austin, Chris Ettrick, Jennifer Lanier, Danielle Radford, Danielle Grégoire, Rick Taylor, Andie Iwancio; as well as allies Derek Sheen, Adam Pasi, Trevor Thorpe, Becky Braunstein and more!

A full show schedule and line-up will be on our website www.portlandqueercomedyfestival.com June 1st, 2017.

A portion of the festival proceeds will be donated to local and national nonprofits, and fund drives during the festival will support our nonprofit community partners. This inclusive festival will involve comics from the spectrum of the LGBTTIQQ2SA alphabet, and yes, we’ve included our funniest allies too.

Incorporating proven Funhouse Lounge formatted shows such as The Gateway Show, Comic Strip, and SMUT; we will also be bringing special guest shows such as Danielle Grégoire’s “Do Tell”, ”The Sober Show” and Guy Branum's “Gay Bash”; as well as traditional comedy showcases; with two “All-Star” headliner shows on Saturday July 16th, 2017 at 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm at Curious Comedy Theater!
