Musical entertainment by classically trained Soul Violinist, Lee England, Jr. and emceed by hyper, irreverent, and just downright fabulous, Comedian ANT. ANT has steadily climbed the comedy hill to become one of the most successful comedians of our time. The Creative City Awards is the Chambers most important fund raiser. Funds raised from this event help to contribute to programming and promotions for the business community. The nominees were chosen for their innovation in their approach to business and/or creative merits in product and service by the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Membership, its Board of Directors and the Special Events Committee. A criterion for selection was that the business be a Chamber Member and have made significant contributions to the West Hollywood community. Members vote for their favorites through an online ballot and the winners are announced at the event. The nominees chosen are: Creative Start-Up: Kitchen 24, Pressed Juicery, and Sunset Strip Farmers Market; The John Chase Art & Design Award: Work Plays Studio (Ric Abramson, architect), Christopher Guy and Kelly Wearstler; Corporate Innovation: Pink Taco, Soul Cycle, and Sur Restaurant; Creative Communications: SJ Linking Systems, Home Box Office (HBO) and Vanity Girl Hollywood; WeHo Beacon: The Abbey, Bikes & Hikes and Viper Room; and Creative Community Service: Todd Elliott (Truman & Elliott), Marta Linares (Gilmore Bank) and Los Angeles Sports Club (LASC).
