BEA MILLER UNVEILS NEW VIDEO FOR NOCTURNAL POP ANTHEM “YOUNG BLOOD”
July 21, 2014 (Burbank, CA) – Hollywood Records/SYCO Music recording artist Bea Miller today released the video to “Young Blood,” the first single and title track from her debut EP, on VEVO.
The video was shot in the dark alleys of Los Angeles by renowned video director Mark Pellington (Demi Lovato, Foo Fighters), and captures the boldness and untamed spirit of teenage emotion with intense imagery. The video’s theme is of youth trying to escape their own darkness, but they ultimately feel indestructible, infallible and free.
but in dark times when we close our eyes / it’s a nightmare, it’s a nightmare / when the sun don’t shine / we lose our minds/ but I swear, we can get there / we’ve got young blood / can’t destroy us / we make our own luck in this world.
“Young Blood” is lyrically the best song on my EP because it has both dark and light sides, which is truthful,” says Bea. “I think it’s the easiest song for teenagers to relate to because we all have so many personal struggles and we’re all desperately trying to find ourselves but at the same time we’re having the time of our lives and enjoying so many moments. The song is a reminder to kids my age that they aren’t alone even when they think no one understands them.”
Bea’s debut EP Young Blood hit #2 on the iTunes Pop Chart and #16 on the overall iTunes album chart. She is currently working on her debut full-length album slated to come out in early 2015.
