The summer of 2005 also saw Legette-Jack Vanessa Gidden – 22 times serve a second stint as an assistant coach with USA Basketball, as a Amaka Agugua – 8 times member of Gail Goestenkors' (Duke) staff for the 2005 FIBA Women's U19 Lana Harshaw – 5 times World Championships squad that posted a perfect 8-0 mark en route to a Kristina Campbell – 4 times gold medal at the World Championship in Tunis, Tunisia. In her first campaign as head coach, Legette-Jack HAS LED OR TIED FOR THE TEAM LEAD IN MINUTES PLAYED guided the Pride to an 8-21 record and a first round win in the Colonial Lizanne Murphy – 16 times Athletic Association Championship, which was the Pride's first tournament Cigi McCollin – 7 times win in five years. Legette-Jack brought a wealth of collegiate coaching Vanessa Gidden – 6 times experience to Hofstra. She spent 11 seasons as a Division I assistant India Ali – 2 times coach, with nine years in the Big East Conference at Syracuse University Jenna McSpadden – 1 time and Boston College, and two seasons in the Big Ten Conference at DOUBLES FIGURES Michigan State University. Legette-Jack came to Hofstra after serving for DOUBLE FIGURE POINTS two seasons as an assistant coach at Michigan State University in East Vanessa Gidden – 27 times Lansing, Michigan . In 2000-01 the Spartans went 10-18, but followed that Cigi McCollin – 23 times up with one of the top turnarounds in the NCAA in 2001-02, going 19-13 Amaka Agugua – 17 times and advancing to the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) Lizanne Murphy – 12 times semifinals. It was the fifth most wins in school history and included three Lana Harshaw – 7 times victories over nationally ranked programs. While at Michigan State, India Ali – 2 times Legette-Jack served as the recruiting coordinator and was responsible for Jenna McSpadden – 2 times signing the 14th-ranked recruiting class in the country for the 2001-02 Niki Williams – 1 time season. Three of those recruits were residents of the state of Michigan and DOUBLE FIGURE REBOUNDS were ranked in the top 61 in the nation. In addition, Legette-Jack Vanessa Gidden – 13 times supervised the student-athletes' academic progress, and helped organize Lizanne Murphy – 8 times and direct Michigan State's preseason and postseason conditioning Amaka Agugua – 4 times program. Prior to her two seasons at Michigan State, Legette-Jack spent Lana Harshaw – 1 time seven seasons as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Syracuse DOUBLE FIGURE ASSISTS University. She then spent two years as an assistant coach at Boston College, where she oversaw the academic progress of a team with a 100-percent Hofstra’s Top Home Records graduation rate, before moving on to Syracuse.
