Representatives of colleges and universities in North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, and North Central Conference Minnesota met in the late fall of 1921 in Chicago to consider the formation of what was to become Ramkota Inn the North Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, now commonly known at the North 2400 North Louise Central Conference or NCC. Sioux Falls, S.D. 57107 There were representatives from nine institutions at the meeting: North Dakota Agricultural College (now NDSU), the University of North Dakota, State University of South Dakota, South Phone: (605) 338-0907 Dakota State College, Morningside College, Des Moines Municipal University, Nebraska Fax: (605) 338-1889 Wesleyan, College of St. Thomas and Creighton University. Nebraska Wesleyan severed relationships after the season of 1927. In 1928, St. Thomas and Creighton also NCC Staff became casualties. It was not until 1935 that Omaha University was allowed to join the league. In 1936, Iowa State Teacher’s College (now Northern Iowa) was admitted, and in 1941, Named the sixth commissioner of the North Central Conference in January of 2005, Roger Thomas Augustana College of Sioux Falls was allowed to become a member. Thomas was Director of Athletics State, North Dakota, Augustana, South Dakota and South Dakota State. at the University of North Dakota from 1999-2005 At the fall meeting in 1968, Minnesota State University, Mankato (known then as Mankato and currently serves on the NCAA Division II State College) was admitted into the league. The University of Nebraska-Omaha (formerly Management Council. Prior to becoming UND AD, Omaha University) was readmitted in the spring of 1976.
