S RAPPAREES CAPTAIN, SEANIE O’GORMAN

Starting at 7 years of age i was fortunate enough to grow up with talented bunch of hurlers. We had experienced managers such as Adrian Fenlon, Declan Ruth, Podge and John Walsh, I am very honoured to represent and lead this team to Wexford park today, It was a great growing up with these lads from a young age, making friends for life. Biggest influence i would have to say during these years was Maurice Treacy. Maurice looked after me when i started for the Rapparees only for him i wouldn't be hurling at all. Best Memory was in 2010 representing Wexford at under 16 level in the Arbawn under Podge "Skinner" Walsh, This Man is a great mentor and family friend to make this extra special he is a Dublin roader. 12 Senior hurlingfinal2012pages_Layout129/11/201215:18Page34

Message from the Captain - Keith Rossiter It is an honour and a privilege for me to captain Oulart-The Ballagh senior team for the second year in a row. I would like to pay tribute to all the players and the backroom team for their dedication and commitment which have propelled us to our ninth successive senior final. We appreciate the fantastic support that we get from the local community and we are immensely proud to represent our historic parish on this prestigious day. Mile buiochas to our club officers, committee, coaches and mentors along with all the voluntary workers who devote their time to pitch-maintenance, fund-raising and development as well as the vital promotion of Gaelic games. Thanks to our main sponsors Kevin Cooney Ltd, and to our very special and inspirational supporters, Johnny and Stephen Hayden. We thank all who work to make this a wonderful day for Wexford G.A.A. and we look forward to a fine sporting contest that will, hopefully, showcase the best of Wexford hurling. Beir bua agus beannacht!

Pat, a serving Army Officer, began his hurling career with the famed Ahane club in Limerick and represented his county for fourteen years. The staunch, tenacious and uncompromising defender made the corner-back position his own and won two Munster championships with Limerick along with two National League titles as well as winning two Railway Cup medals while representing Munster. He has coached and managed teams in Limerick (Ahane), Kildare (Confey) and Tipperary (Toomevarra)- the latter to the All-Ireland club semi-final and he along with coach Sean Crowley and selector Brendan O’Connor hope to steer Oulart-The Ballagh to their tenth senior title.
