The university enrolls approximately 11,000 students (7,000 undergraduates and 4,000 graduates) in seven degree granting schools. Assistant Dean of Student Life & Director of Student Conduct & Community Standards July 2010 – Present • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of a campus-wide conduct system for 7,000 undergraduate students and select graduate schools • Provide supervision to three full-time staff members and a graduate student and oversee 13 Residential Community Directors who serve as Conduct Officers • Hear, adjudicate, and determine responsibility for alleged violations of the SMU Student Code of Conduct through individual conduct meetings with students or student organization investigations • Oversee the training and advising of conduct officers, hearing boards, and the University Conduct Council (the appellate board) • Advise the student run Honor Council in upholding the SMU Honor Code • Oversee assessment projects to provide data on how the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards is achieving student learning outcomes • Participate on the Caring Community Connections (CCC) committee which serves as the campus behavior intervention team to assist students of concern and students who may be experiencing personal crises • Coordinate training and serve as a member of an administrative on-call team and the crisis management team • Coordinate with staff members in the Office of Institutional Access and Equity in responding to alleged sexual assaults and other Title IX complaints involving students • Serve as a member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team headed by the Vice President of Student Affairs • Serve as a member of the Presidents Commission on Substance Abuse Prevention and co-chair the subcommittee on community relations with the Chief of Police • Serve as a member of the Sexual Misconduct Implementation Workgroup to implement recommendations made to and approved by the Office of Civil Rights to ensure compliance with our resolution agreement • Serve as a Campus Security Authority Evelyn L.
