This residential weekend will explore the vows of monastic life and how they assimilate to the vows of marriage and to the commitment to family life in parenting and in maintaining the holding environment of a family home. From Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, this weekend of prayer, presentations and group reflection will be held alongside the framework of Divine Office celebrated by monastic community at Mount St. Joseph Abbey. The proactive skills and techniques taught in CSP classes have helped parents from diverse backgrounds create healthy family relationships that foster safety and well-being at home, in school and in the community. All are welcome. ***************************************************************************************** CYCLE FOR SYRIA: The transition year students in Scoil Aireagail are proposing a “Cycle for Syria” and they have organised four stationary bikes on which they are hoping to get local celebrities, the local community to cycle with the students the 5,300 kms to Syria. The launch is on Saturday 17th October at 11.00 a.m. and four of our past pupils, (captain), Michael Fennelly, and , All Ireland Champions are starting the cycle. The event is being covered by the Irish Examiner and KCLR. We would be delighted if members of the public would come into the school and help with the cycle.
