CLEAN CUT KID AT THE CLUNY, NEWCASTLE

Geordie indie-rock fans prepare to raise the roof as Clean Cut Kid will kick up a storm with their new show at The Cluny 2, Newcastle. The Liverpool-based indie band, consisting of lead vocalist Mike Hall, backing vocalist Evelyn Hall, drummer Ross Higginson and bassist Gareth Bullock, will perform two socially distanced shows: a matinee show at 5pm and a main evening show starting at 8pm. Wearside music fans will be treated to a packed month of NEWS live music in a series of live gigs set to take place in July at The Peacock in Sunderland. Residents of Stockton are preparing for a summer packed full of family- fun events as the council are putting the finishing touches to this year's Stockton International Riverside Festival. Stockton International Riverside Festival (SIRF) is set to come back with a bang this July after joining the list of events forced to postpone last year due to the pandemic. The event, which is set to take place from Thursday 29th until Sunday 1st August, is jam-packed with world-class shows, from magical and quirky performances to stunning visual experiences. The free festival, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2017, with the first-ever SIRF taking place way back in 1988, has become one of the world’s oldest and best international street festivals and is a true labour of love from Stockton Borough Council, with support from the Arts Council. Originally inspired by European festivals seen in Holland, France and Spain, it has become an outdoor art spectacular that focuses on international performers and companies.
