We are reducing the amount of waste we generate and recycling as much as possible. to the environmentPlease help us by putting your waste in the correct bins. Monmouth Festival recognises that running a Festival for nine days has a direct impact on the environment but our aim is to make the Festival as environmentally friendly as possible. We run a three bin system in the Main Stage area which means that we separate waste into cans, plastic and general waste. In 2017 we collected 0.22 tons of recycling and 1.74 tonnes of general waste. We also have a team of litter pickers and recyclers but we rely on your help to make their jobs manageable. If you could do your bit by using the recycling bins and tidying up after yourselves, we’d be really grateful. In the interest of safety, reducing waste and to protect our environment Monmouth Festival became a “glass free zone” in 2015 and has remained a “glass free” festival ever since. Alcohol may be brought into the Festival but anyone bringing glass bottles or containers will be asked to decant the liquid into plastic.
