Wrapping Up Tonight, the Kings play their last home game against St. Louis (5-1-1) before heading to Colorado (1-5-0) to finish out the season.

First Goals Rasmus Kupari scored his first career goal in his fourth career game in Saturday’s game against Colorado. He is the fourth King this season to score his first NHL goal, joining Jaret Anderson-Dolan, Tobias Bjornfot and Arthur Kaliyev. The Kings are one of ten teams with four or more players scoring their first goal this season.

Three’s Company Three players recorded points in Saturday’s game to extend their point streaks to three-straight games: Sean Walker (1-1=2), Gabriel Vilardi (0-1=1) and Lias Andersson (0-1=1). Walker notched his second multi-point effort of the season, scoring his fourth goal of the year and adding an assist. His four goals this year are just one shy of his single-season career high set in 2019-20. Walker’s seven points in May lead the club, are tied for first among league defensemen and rank seventh (tied) among all players in that span. Vilardi extended his point streak to three-straight games, giving him four points over the span (3-1=4). Andersson also set a career-long stretch with his assist on Saturday, notching assists/points in three-consecutive contests (0-3=3).

1,000 and Counting Anze Kopitar recorded his 1,000th career NHL point (346-654=1,000; 1,124GP) in Wednesday’s game against Arizona, joining Marcel Dionne (1,307), Luc Robitaille (1,154) and Dave Taylor (1,069) as the only Kings to reach the milestone. He is one of eight active players with 1,000 points and the first Slovenian to ever reach the mark. He is the 91st player in NHL history to achieve the milestone and joins Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby (2005) and Chicago’s Patrick Kane (2007) as the only players to reach 1,000 points being selected since the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Brown Sidelined After consultation with team medical staff, it has been determined that Dustin Brown will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to an upper body injury he sustained earlier in the year. Brown will continue to undergo treatment and rehabilitation. Brown finished the season with 31 points in his 49 games (17-14=31).
