The Fullerton College Men's Golf Team hosted the first South Coast Conference tournament of the 1981 season on March 9. Orange Coast College won the tourney, held at Western Hills Golf Course in the Carbon Canyon area, taking the 12 points and first place in SCC competition. The Hornets, led by John Schrader's round of 72 and Ray Brown's 74, took second place and 10 points. Fullerton's next tourney will be held by Cerritos on Monday. Before the Fullerton tourney, the Hornets had opened up the season with a victory over Santa Monica, 384-408 (low score wins). On Feb. 19 and 20, FC traveled to the College of the Desert for a turnament with COD, Grossmont and Ventura. Shooting a 411, the Hornets had to settle for fourth. Men's Tennis

FC then blanked both Santa Ana and 5-3 Diego Mesa 9-0 to improve their conference record to 3-1 and overall.
