SIERRA McCORMICK TO JOIN THE GARDEN GROVE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL PARADE ON MAY 25TH

GARDEN GROVE, CA (MAY 10, 2013) -- Sierra McCormick who stars as the brainy Olive Doyle in the series “A.N.T. Farm” is the newest member of the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival parade May 25th celebrity line‐up for the parade taking place on Saturday, May 25th at 10 a.m..

Twelve additional TV, film and radio celebrities will join her as honored guests in the parade: Theme Grand Marshal Christine Devine (Fox 11 News Anchor); Celebrity Co‐ Grand Marshal James Hong (R.I.P.D.); Celebrity Co‐Grand Marshal Miss California Leah Cecil; Karan Brar (Disney’s Jessie); on‐air talents Christine Martindale (radio host at KKGO‐FM "Go Country 105) and Rachin (radio host at Exitos 93.9); Mckenna Grace (Joe&Joe&Jane; Crash and Bernstein); Alicia Sixtos (East Los High); () and sisters Savannah Paige Rae (Parenthood) and Emily Evan Rae (Parenthood) plus Daphne Blunt (Fanlala’s Daphne’s Look of the Week).

The parade also features Knott’s Berry Farms’ Snoopy, Ronald McDonald, and two characters from Despicable Me2, plus the world famous Sk8Kings skateboarding troupe.

Sierra McCormick has starred for the past three years as Olive Doyle the Disney Channel’s series A.N.T. Farm , the popular series is about three middle‐schoolers in a gifted “Advanced Natural Talents” (A.N.T.) Program. Thanks to Olive’s eidetic memory, she remembers everything she’s ever read, heard or seen. Sierra stars in the series with China Anne McClain and .

Sierra has also appeared in several other TV series including HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, Disney Channel’s , Fox’s ’Til Death, The CW’s Supernatural, CBS’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and CBS’s . She is winner of the 2007 Family Television Award and the 2012 Young Artists Award. Sierra also is remembered for her film roles in Ramona and Beezus with , Bridget Moynahan, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Duhamel and Sandra Oh, as well as in The Dog Who Saved Christmas and A Nanny for Christmas.

Many of the celebrities will attend the festival’s annual cake cutting ceremony Friday, May 24th at 6:00 p.m. in the Showmobile at Acacia and Main streets, and they all will be at the VIP breakfast, open to the public, May 25th at 8:00 a.m. in the Garden Grove Community Center.

The 55th Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival is a non‐profit organization dedicated to raising funds for the community. This year’s theme is Celebrating 55 Years of Helping Local Kids.The festival will be held Memorial Day Weekend Friday, May 24th through Monday, May 27th, 2013. Friday hours are 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Village Green between Main Street and Euclid Avenue in downtown Garden Grove. It includes food and game booths, great food, live music, performances, contests and exciting carnival rides. Admission is free. The four‐day event is the second largest city festival in the Western United States. Last year’s attendance was over 300,000.
