Ermelo Hengelklub het Saterdag, 20 Januarie hulle eerste hengelkompetisie in bitter koue weer aangebied. Die kompetisie het buite by Teeni Meer plaasgevind. In die juniorafdeling het Deandré Smit die eerste plek verower met twee visse in sy sak met ’n gewig van 1.476kg. Hy het ook die grootste karp in die afdeling gevang wat 1.293kg geweeg het. Stephnie Oosthuizen het met vier visse en ’n gewig van 7.154kg eerste in die vroue- afdeling geëindig, gevolg deur Lizelia Engelbrecht met drie visse wat 1.839kg geweeg het en Samantha Venter derde met twee visse wat 1.394kg geweeg het. Stephnie Oosthuizen het die grootste karp in die afdeling gevang wat 3.15kg geweeg het en Lizelia Engelbrecht die grootste baber van 0.340kg. In die mansafdeling het Jaco Oosthuizen eerste geëindig met 21 visse in die net wat 23.667kg geweeg het, met Hermann Fourie tweede met 15 visse en ’n gewig van 12.964kg en Dries Smit derde met agt visse en ’n gewig van 8.927kg.
