The competition has so far delivered some thrilling finishes, spectacular tries and unearthed the next generation of unbelievable NRL talent again in 2018. However, it’s not just hard work and performance on the field where players need to deliver in order to take part in the NRL Schoolboy Cup – all players must maintain a minimum of 85 per cent attendance at school in order to be eligible for selection. The National Final Series will see the winner of both the Southern and Northern Conference progress to the 2018 National Final which will be held at Dolphin Stadium, Redcliffe on Wednesday, September 19. The teams that will be fighting out the Southern Conference (NSW, ACT and Victoria) are All Saints Maitland, Holy Cross Ryde, Patrician Brothers Blacktown and Hunter, Endeavour, Westsfields, Illawarra and Farrer Sports High Schools. In the Northern Conference, mainstays like Palm Beach Currumbin and Keebra Park will face challenges from the likes of Ipswich, Mountain Creek and St Marys Toowoomba, with North Queensland’s Kirwan and Ignatius Colleges already through to the semis.
