EDGE 7”, 12”, AND 16” KEYMOD RAIL The Firefield Edge 7”, 12” and 16” Keymod Rails merge an aggressive handguard design with an accessory attachment system robust enough to handle every piece of equipment you need on your next mission. This multipurpose handguard and rail system boasts lightweight yet heavy- duty aircraft-grade 6061-T6 hard-anodized matte black aluminum and a precision-machined, skeletonized designs. True to Firefield’s mantra, “Victory justifies everything,” the Firefield Edge 7”, 12” and 16” rail includes enough keymod system space to mount just that… everything, including your suppressor. 4. Tighten bolts on keymod rail WARNING Unload Firearm before installing the rail. Before handling the Edge Keymod Rail read and understand the contents of your firearm’s manual, and the Firefield manual. Follow all standard safety precautions and procedures during firearm operation. • ALWAYS check that the chamber of your weapon is clear before mounting the Edge Keymod Rail. • Failure to follow standard firearm safety precautions and procedures is dangerous and may result in serious injury, damage to property, or death 11 SPECIFICATIONS INSTALLING KEYMOD RAIL SECTIONS Material Aluminum To install Keymod rail sections: Rail type Picatinny / weaver Length (in) 7”, 12”, 16” 1. Loosely assemble keymod rail section with keymod nuts and bolts Weight (oz) 15.5, 12.7, 8.8 Features: • Hard anodized aluminum • Rail accepts most picatinny, nato and weaver sized mounts • Keymod rail system 2. Line up keymod nuts with the large part of the keymod holes on the rail. Keymod screw and nuts 1 4 7 6 5 3 9 2 MOUNTING Tools Required: AR-15 armorer wrench, torque wrench, hex keys 6. Tighten rail retention ring against rail. Warning: If these tools are not available it is best to have the rail installed by a gunsmith in order to not risk damaging the firearm. Prior to mounting the current handguard needs to be removed along with the barrel nut, gas block, and gas tube, and muzzle device. To mount: 1. Tighten down supplied barrel nut with retention ring on it to 30 ft/lbs. 8 3 5. Thread on keymod rail on to barrel nut until aligned with rail on upper receiver. 2. Check if gas tube is aligned. If not aligned, set torque wrench to 50 ft/lbs and tighten only until gas tube hole aligns, do not tighten excessively 7 4 3. Assemble gas tube, gas block, and muzzle device. 4. Screw on rail retention ring all the way on to barrel nut, do not tighten it against upper receiver. 5 6.
