It is situated amidst seven districts namely Bikaner, Churu, Sikar, Jaipur, Ajmer, Pali, Jodhpur. Nagaur is the fifth largest district in Rajasthan with a vast terrain spreading over 17,718 sq.km. Its geographical spread is a good combine of plain, hills, sand mounds & as such it is a part of the great Indian Thar Desert. After independence, Nagaur had the honour of being selected as the place in the country from where the Democratic Decentralisation process was launched by the late Shri Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India on the 2 October 1959. The present district of Nagaur finds a place in the heart of the Rajasthan state. If we draw a cross over the map of Rajasthan the centre of this cross is bound to fall in the district of Nagaur. Before the merger of the states, Nagaur was a part of the erstwhile Jodhpur State. Nagaur district has got plenty of limestone, salt and other type of Minerals for Industry. In 1984 India's first White Cement plant, JK White Cement was established in Gotan, 100 Km. from Nagaur. The total area of the district is 17,718 sq. km. out of which, • 17,448.5 sq. km. is rural and • 269.5 sq. km. is urban. Nagaur is situated in Ajmer Region of the Rajasthan State. District is having 12 – Sub Divisions, 13 Tehsils and 14 Blocks. Nagaur District has total population of over 33 (Thirty Three) lacs residing in 1640 revenue villages including 11 municipalities (Urban bodies). Resolution of Nagaur district for 2022- 1. Clean Nagaur; which would be free from polythene, open defecation, sewage & drainage problem. All cities would have proper drainage and sewage system. Solid waste management and its processing work will start for all municipalities. Society will be aware with ownership feeling for public properties and will help for keeping public places clean. 2. 24 hours qualitative & piped drinking water supply to all houses in urban and rural area. Nagaur district would have water from Indra Gandhi lift canal in all urban and rural areas. 3. 24 hours qualitative electricity supply to all households with minimal AT&C losses. Deen dayal upadhayay yojna and other schemes would be implemented in letter and spirit for achieving this. 4. Good road connectivity to all revenue villages & other habitations. Even all villages in rural areas having proper roads with proper drainage system. It would be done through PWD projects, PMGSY, and RD&PR schemes. 5. All schools having good infrastructure of all kind and dedicated teachers; who not only teaches syllabus but give good manners to children. No child of society would be away from quality education and nutrition. Children grow with the feeling of love and service to motherland. 6. Qualitative medical facility would be in reach of every citizen; we would have good infrastructure of hospitals with the availability of all equipment and sufficient number of trained and dedicated doctors. There would be no maternal or child death due to lack of medical facility. All our pregnant ladies and children will get proper nutrition and would be healthy. We expect to eliminate malnourishment from our district. Also we would have a medical college in Nagaur district soon. We will ensure 100% ANC, 100% institutional delivery and full immunization in the district. 7. Every person would get employment either wage or self. Skill development sector is very important for our district, as we have no big industries/ employment generation sector; we would train and educate the youth through vocational training. We would get the various agencies involved for such trainings and we would have a society where no person is without some productive utility to the economy. 8. Agriculture and animal husbandry have been part and parcel of our district where maximum rural folks are involved in this sector. We would like to have it in a progressive and business way. Farmers would be acquainted with all new technologies of farming and dairies. Farming and dairies would also be considered as a profitable business. All farmers will use fertilizers etc as per requirement after getting analysis of soil. Focus would be shifting towards organic farming. Nagaur district has very poor irrigation facilities so we will try to create alternative sources of rainwater harvesting such as – tanka, khet talai, farm pond and maximum use of drip-sprinkler system. Also would educate farmers for trying new crops, which require less amount of water. We would create new godowns, warehouses and cold storages so farmers would get adequate facility available of storage and yields can be preserved for right price. Our farmers will be connected to all markets through technology and have better price of their produces. 9. Nagaur district is known for its nagauri breed of cow and oxes. Now a day this breed is losing its importance for various reasons. We would establish a ‘ Breed Improvement & research center ’ in Nagaur to address the issue. Secondly there is ban of exporting calves of less than 3 years out of the state which is hampering the craze of nagauri breed and people are feeling discouraged for its business; so we shall try to get this ban up to 2 years only. 10. We will have an educated society, which would be aware about their rights and responsibilities. Government role would be minimized to electronic facilitation. All facilities would be available online and also grievance would be redressed online. Dream of maximum governance and minimum government should actualize. 11. We would be able to eliminate caste & religion based conflicts from our district through education, meetings and spreading good message of harmony through caste & religious gurus. 12. All Divyangjan or any people in need would be taken very seriously and sensitively by society. All such person will get all necessary support and facilities to lead a comfortable life. 13. We would like to have society where crime would be minimal. Senior and learned people of society would settle small and petty disputes. 14. There would be no family in rural or urban area without pakka house. It would be ensured through Pradhan mantra Awas yojna (Rural and Urban) and state government schemes. 15. We would try to achieve district free from poverty. Poor families would be identified and through skill development or self-employment scheme would try to uplift them from BPL to APL. 16. There is a huge scope of industrial development in the district. District has large geographical area, good connectivity by road, rail & air, availability of other natural and human resources. So we would like that some big industries should come up which would be milestone in development and employment generation. Also as district is basically agriculture based so here is a good scope of agriculture processing industry, we would try for that also. 17. We would try that up to 2022, maximum transactions either with government departments or person to person should be digital. Every citizen would be made acquainted with modes, utility and benefits of digital transactions. .
