The Academy has been evolving in various aspects of the curriculum, research, and teaching methodologies, in a country that counts technology as its key differentiator. The efforts of ICT Academy are primarily focused on talent creation, research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The meticulous exercises of the Academy in skilling the talent band in the nation, particularly in tier II and tier III belts, has fetched it an edge for national expansion. On behalf of ICT Academy, I humbly request your greater interest in participating in the initiatives of the Academy. - Lakshmi Narayanan, Chairman, ICT Academy and Emeritus Vice-Chairman, Cognizant 07 ICT Academy Annual Report 2018- 2019 Message from the CEO I am proud that ICT Academy has been awarded the “First Prize” with a “Certificate of Best Training Provider” in the category of IT/ITES Sector for the period of 2017-18, and a cash incentive by the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, Government of Tamil Nadu. This is a remarkable recognition, to our efforts in nation building. As a Skill India implementation partner, ICT Academy has been implementing Skill Saathi Career Counseling program across India in the states such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Assam and Meghalaya and has successfully counseled 75,000 students in the allotted states so far. ICT Academy is in constant dialogue with various leading companies such as Dassault Systems, SIEMENS, PTC, Ansys, Mathworks, HP, Bentley etc. to develop new range of products in CATIA, Solidworks, Automation and Electrification, STAAD. Pro, MX Road and more that focus particularly on vitalizing the academia in terms of talent creation in the emerging technologies. Apart from the newer collaborations, ICT Academy is also liaising with its existent partners like Intel, VMware, and Palo Alto to bring out products in AI, ML, Blockchain, vSphere and Cybersecurity Infrastructure Configuration respectively. With regard to services, ICT Academy envisions providing Digital as a Learning. The Academy is initiating to move its existent training content into MOOC platform to enable academia learn seamlessly through the complete digital mode. ICT Academy is a not-for-profit organization, the first of its kind venture under the Public-Private-Partnership model that endeavors to train the higher education teachers and students thereby exercises developing the next generation teachers and industry ready students. ICT Academy was started to meet the skill requirements of the industry and generate more employment especially in tier II and III parts of the country. The organization was formed with representations from Government and Industry. With training of teachers and students as the primary objective, ICT Academy has been working through a seven pillar program in the areas of Faculty Development, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Youth Empowerment, Industry-Institute Interaction, Digital Empowerment and Research & Publications. ICT Academy is continuously striving on every aspect to provide a holistic service to every stakeholder of the education ecosystem in developing the next generation of talent pool in India to make them industry-ready employees, innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders. ICT Academy is endorsed and recommended by NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India Aayog), the National Planning body of Government of India as one of the unique organizations for dissemination and replication, which is aligned to the Skill India Vision of the Government of India. Through its various initiatives, ICT Academy has been part of strengthening the India’s four important visions namely Skill India, Digital India, Startup India and Make in India We collaborate with public and private organizations to create, integrate and disseminate knowledge in the field of ICT to bridge the gap between academic output and industry requirements thus providing every learner an equal opportunity to become industry-ready.
