To this end, the Associate Director of the Academic Resource Center for Student-Athlete Services, Dr. Shelly Habel, and the Academic Coordinator for Student-Athletes, Adam Polacek, provide academic consultation and guidance. In addition, Kimberly Curry is the Academic Coordinator for Men's Basketball.

An experienced staff is available to help connect you with the knowledge and tools that you need. All equipment, media resources, and training is free and the center offers facilities for post-production and other digital media endeavors.

Whether you are just beginning to brainstorm or revising a later stage of your work, our goal is to provide a collaborative center for the discussion of writing. Rather than proofreading papers for grammar or spelling errors, consultants work to help individuals improve their own critical thinking, revision, and editing skills. Hours vary but all appointments can be made online.

The efforts of the staff are aimed at helping students to develop greater self-understanding, to identify and solve problems, and to improve academic performance.

The Center is under the direction of MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, staffed by full time Family Practice faculty physicians and nurse practitioners.
