Hiker /biker campsite, on-line registration, information on local supplies, keypad for bathroom Paper Amazing park with a lot of potential As specified above, the lake side would benefit from a shelter(s) just past the boat ramp. If the shelters included a boat dock these would be rented for high dollar amounts. I believe they would stay full during the in season. It could also serve as a good spot for paddling Staff events on weeknight evenings. Staff Bathrooms desperatly need updated. Staff Eastwood is a great park I wish I could go from the lake over to the other side of the park. I am in Eastwood all the time and love the opportunities but I wish I didn't have to go out to Harshman Rd., that keeps me from using Eastwood as much as I'd like or meeting friends to spend the day Staff paddling all the different options. I'd love to be able to keep my kayak and SUP at the park if you had lockers. It's a crying shame that the trees along the backside of the lake were removed. Why would someone want to cast their gaze across a Staff lake to view a highway. The reminder of the built environment is already sufficiently painful whilst entering off the busy Harshman Rd. Staff Love the fact that it's a short drive to fish and boat! Staff Make the Lake idle speed only for fishing and Kayaker all the time Staff We love this park and think the addition of a dog space would be ideal. -

Cypress Ranch HS Choir Senior Wills 2021 Kristen Aviles I don't really know how to start this i feel like i've been writing me senior will since i found out these were a thing but now that i have to ive gone blank. This year has been strange, this isn't the senior year I had built up in my head but there's no way anyone could change our circumstances. We were dealt the cards and now we have to make the best of them. I told myself pretty early that I wouldn't let myself cry over my senior year, that so many people had it worse than me at the moment and the fact that I wouldn't get my last pop show was just a tiny spec of dust compared to what all was happening in the world. At the end of the day though as much as that is true it doesn't make it any less easy. The fact that I didn't get a normal pop show or winter concert, or even a choir olympics. The fact that my senior speech will have to be given on a zoom call, all of that stuff has slowly been chipping away at me this year. The only thing pulling me along is the thought that I traded this for a normal freshman year of college which has been strangely comforting this whole time. So no, this isn't the year i expected or wanted but it's what i got and there is nothing i could do to change that. -

Vanguard Label Discography Was Compiled Using Our Record Collections, Schwann Catalogs from 1953 to 1982, a Phono-Log from 1963, and Various Other Sources
Discography Of The Vanguard Label Vanguard Records was established in New York City in 1947. It was owned by Maynard and Seymour Solomon. The label released classical, folk, international, jazz, pop, spoken word, rhythm and blues and blues. Vanguard had a subsidiary called Bach Guild that released classical music. The Solomon brothers started the company with a loan of $10,000 from their family and rented a small office on 80 East 11th Street. The label was started just as the 33 1/3 RPM LP was just gaining popularity and Vanguard concentrated on LP’s. Vanguard commissioned recordings of five Bach Cantatas and those were the first releases on the label. As the long play market expanded Vanguard moved into other fields of music besides classical. The famed producer John Hammond (Discoverer of Robert Johnson, Bruce Springsteen Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan and Aretha Franklin) came in to supervise a jazz series called Jazz Showcase. The Solomon brothers’ politics was left leaning and many of the artists on Vanguard were black-listed by the House Un-American Activities Committive. Vanguard ignored the black-list of performers and had success with Cisco Houston, Paul Robeson and the Weavers. The Weavers were so successful that Vanguard moved more and more into the popular field. Folk music became the main focus of the label and the home of Joan Baez, Ian and Sylvia, Rooftop Singers, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Doc Watson, Country Joe and the Fish and many others. During the 1950’s and early 1960’s, a folk festival was held each year in Newport Rhode Island and Vanguard recorded and issued albums from the those events. -

The Life of a Civil War Soldier _________________________________________________________________ Teacher Introduction: The Civil War was a personal war that often split towns, and in extreme cases, families between the Union and the Confederacy. This personal connection of fighting brother against brother permeated every aspect of the normal life of the Civil War Soldier. Their ‘enemy’ was once their countryman and this is a reality that cannot be forgotten or its impact diminished. Though each side often felt strongly about their cause and their rights, a Civil War will always be a traumatic struggle that either turns into revolution or ends in eventual reconciliation. Though volunteerism was high during the Civil War, both sides had to employ the draft to increase their numbers - the Confederacy in 1862 and the Union in 1863. Thus, the common soldiers fighting this war were from a variety of different backgrounds and ranged from the passionate fighter to the reluctant draftee. Both sides were also kinsmen, and Billy Reb and Johnny Yank (as they were generically known) shared many similarities. Their main differences stemmed from their available supplies, which were largely influenced by the economies of the North and South before the war broke out. The north, known for manufacturing, would end up dominating the south, which was rich in agriculture and little else. These differences would influence the lifestyle and morale of troops on each side of the conflict, especially as the war dragged on. This lesson strives to show the similarities and differences that made up the reality of the common soldier in blue or gray.
