PRESS RELEASE ZARA TO OPEN AT MEMORIAL CITY MALL IN LATE 2015 METRONATIONAL 945 BUNKER HILL HOUSTON (3/10/2015) – MetroNational, owner, manager and developer of Houston’s Memorial City, today SUITE 400 announced the addition of global fashion retailer Zara at Memorial City Mall. Set to open in late 2015, HOUSTON, TEXAS 77024 Zara's second Houston location will boast the largest square footage in Texas at more than 29,000 square feet and will feature a three boutique design concepts under one roof for women, men and children’s clothing. “We enthusiastically welcome Zara to Memorial City Mall and find the brand to be a perfect fit to our aspirational retail mix and premier west Houston location,” said Danna Diamond, Vice President of Retail Leasing with MetroNational. “With more than two million square feet of office space and more than 10,000 workers in Memorial City as well as numerous multi-family residences within walking distance of the Mall, our retailers are able to benefit from the growth and density of the surrounding market, resulting in higher sales volumes.” Zara is owned by the Inditex Group, one of the world’s largest fashion retail groups. In addition to Zara, Inditex has 7 other brands: Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterque. The Inditex Group has more than 6,600 stores in 88 markets. Inditex entered the US in 1989, when it opened a Zara store in New York. Today, Zara has 54 stores in more than 20 cities. In addition to the new Memorial City location, Inditex plans to open more than a dozen new Zara stores in 2015 in major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Boston, Seattle, San Diego, Sacramento, and Las Vegas. Memorial City Mall has seen unprecedented growth in recent years with the addition of retailers like Banana Republic, Michael Kors, Vera Bradley, Brighton Collectibles, and American Girl – which opened in 2012 and remains the only location of its sort within a 200-mile radius. Additionally, in the past year, the Mall has seen annual sales per square foot exceeding $800. Other highlights include a full NHL-sized ice rink, the largest retail indoor soft play area in the world, and a double-decker Italian carousel, making Memorial City Mall a premiere shopping location and family destination for locals and visitors alike. ### .
