This has been officially approved by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Trivandrum. The autonomous status would enable RSET to enhance all aspects of its academic activities, and offer programmes in line with contemporary industrial and research requirements. he Autonomy Inspection Team had visited the institution on January 6 & 7, 2020. The team Tcomprised Prof. Keshava Prasad Singh, Emeritus Professor, IIT BHU (Chairperson); Prof. Suresh Kumar Garg, Pro Vice Chancellor, Delhi Technological University; Mr Jaisukhlal N., Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, GoK; Prof. S. Anil Lal, DME, CET; and Dr Salil S., Education Officer, UGC, Bangalore. NIRF 2020 SET has been listed in the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2020 (NIRF), published Rby the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in June 2020. The institution is ranked in the 251-300 range. It has the rare distinction of being the only private self- financing engineering college from Kerala to be ranked by NIRF. B.TECH IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & DATA SCIENCE SET has started its eighth undergraduate programme in engineering, B.Tech in Artificial RIntelligence & Data Science from the academic year 2020-2021 onwards. A branch which offers diverse opportunities, this programme is being offered jointly by the Department of Information Technology and Department of Mathematics. Vijayan RSETnews 2020 5 ICNTDM 2020 An international conference on Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics, organized by the Ramanujan Mathematical Society was hosted at RSET from December 11 to 14, 2020. The conference was organized to mark the hundredth year of the passing away of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. Prof. Bruce C. Berndt, University of Illinois inaugurated the programme on December 10, 2020. Rev. Dr Jose Kuriedath CMI presided over the inaugural function. Prof. R. Balasubramanian, Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, addressed the gathering during the inaugural function, while Prof. Ambat Vijayakumar, Chair IAPC, ICNTDM, and Vice President of RMS elaborated on the conference. Felicitations were offered by Prof. S. Ponnusamy, President RMS, Prof. R. Balakrishnan, Bharathidasan University, and Prof. Poulose Jacob, Dean Research, RSET. Dr P.S.
