    2010-01-26 14:00 CET HIRVONEN VÄRMER UPP INFÖR SVENSKA RALLYT MED SEGER I MONTE-CARLO RALLYT I NYA FORD FIESTA S2000 Göteborg, 26 januari 2010 – Mikko Hirvonen och Jarmo Lehtinen vann i helgen det legendariska Monte Carlo-rallyt i den nya bilen M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000. De ledde från start till mål på tävlingen, som var teamets debut. Fords officiella FIA World Rally Championship-förare utsattes för svåra vinterförhållanden i södra Frankrike innan de gick i mål i Monacos berömda hamn med ett försprång på 1 minut och 51,4 sekunder. Fiesta S2000 har utvecklats av Fords rallypartner M-Sport, och det fem dagar långa Monte Carlo-rally erbjöd en tuff debut. Bilen förlorade inte en enda sträcka under den 405 kilometer långa tävlingen och det hela blev därmed en drömstart på rallysäsongen 2010 för Hirvonen och Lehtinen. De finska förarnas skicklighet sattes på hårda prov i nya, spännande Fiesta S2000. Hirvonen och Lehtinen kom tvåa i rally-VM förra året. Tävlingen var en perfekt uppvärmning inför VM-säsongen, som inleds i de värmlänska skogarna om några veckor. Monte Carlo-rallyt är den första tävlingen i Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC), som M-Sport deltar i. M-Sport-chefen Malcolm Wilson kunde följa i direktsänd TV hur Hirvonen säkert rattade Fiesta S2000 till en klar seger. "Monte Carlo-rallyt är en av världens viktigaste tävlingar och det är en fantastisk känsla att vinna här", säger Hirvonen. "Det var en lång och tuff tävling under svåra förhållanden.
