Bank of Communications UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card “Scan and Spend with QR code for Triple Offers Program” (“The Program”) are applicable to the Cardholders (“The Cardholders”) of Principal Card of Bank of Communications UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card issued by Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. ("the Bank") in Hong Kong (“Eligible Credit Card”). It is not applicable to VISA Cards, Supplementary card, the Pacific Internet card and gift card. 2. Promotional Period is from 16 October 2018 to 31 December 2018 (both days inclusive) (“Promotional Period”). 3. The Program is applicable to Cardholders who download UnionPay App then add the Eligible Credit Card and perform QR code payment via UnionPay network (“UnionPay App transaction”). 4. Cardholders understand and accept that the UnionPay App is provided by China UnionPay and UnionPay International Company Limited (“UnionPay”). The Bank has no responsibility for that. Any responsibility relating to UnionPay App services (include but not limit to its quality and stability) should be directed to UnionPay. Security reminder: Cardholder should understand the procedures of using UnionPay App, adding the credit card and making UnionPay App transaction. All spending transaction dates are counted by the transaction date of the Bank’s record. Eligible Transaction must be posted before the spending rebate credited into designated credit card account. Other unposted transactions (including but not limit to dispute transactions, reversal transactions or delay posted by merchants) are not applicable for this program, and such transactions are non-eligible spending transaction. 7. The offered reward cannot be further sold or transferred to others, exchanged for cash or exchanged to other products or offers. 8. To be eligible to the rewards of this program, the eligible Credit Card Account must be valid and in good financial standing. Any fraud and abuse, false trading and other unauthorized, cancelled, refunded or unposted transactions is not applicable for this program. The Bank will verify the credit card transaction record to confirm credit card accounts' eligibility for the program and the entitlement of the reward. The Cardholders are required to keep the relevant original sales receipts and Credit Card sales slips for inspection upon request by the Bank. In case of disputes, the Cardholders are required to submit the relevant original sale receipt(s) and/ or mobile screen cap of the UnionPay App transaction for further investigation by the Bank. All relevant documents submitted to the Bank will not be returned. In case of discrepancy between the Bank's computer record and details recorded on the credit card sales slip, the Bank's computer record shall prevail. 9. If the Cardholders have cancelled any related transactions which had been included in calculating for the Promotion after promotional period, the Bank reserves the right to debit the amount equivalent to the value of the reward from the eligible Credit Card Account without prior notices. 10. All spending rebate can only be used for retail spending and cannot be refunded, transferred or exchanged for cash, cash advance. 11. The Bank reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions, to change or terminate the Programs at any time without prior notice. The Bank accepts no liability for any matters relating to changes or termination of the Program. 12. In case of any disputes, the Bank's decisions shall be final and conclusive. 13. No person other than the Customer and the Bank will have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623, the Laws of Hong Kong) to enforce or to enjoy the benefit of any term under these Terms and Conditions. 14. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail. “Reward 1” Welcome Offers – Terms and Conditions: 15.     28 Nov 2017 ASEAN Consumer Survey: An Overview ASEAN Consumer Spending On the Rise With a combined population of more than 630 million, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is the world’s third largest market in terms of population, behind China and India. The trade bloc’s sizeable consumer base is underscored by a young workforce, some 60% of whom are aged below 35. With this favourable demographic structure, together with positive economic trends, it is expected that the average ASEAN disposable income and consumer expenditure are set to further increase in coming years. According to Euromonitor International, annual consumer expenditure in the ASEAN will rise to US$1.92 trillion by 2020, 30% above the 2016 level of US$1.47 trillion, and this is equivalent to a healthy average annual growth of 6.8%. Hong Kong and ASEAN countries enjoy a close trade relationship. In 2016, the ASEAN was Hong Kong’s second largest trading partner and fourth largest export market. Among the major export destinations within the ASEAN, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam have caught the eyes of many Hong Kong exporters and retailers, 1 ASEAN Consumer Survey: An Overview thanks to their economic vigour, strong purchasing power, and in particular a fast expanding middle class.
