Finding Firbush How to get there... Firbush Point is situated in the Southern Highlands some 80 miles from Edinburgh, and three miles from the village of Killin. The journey, by car, takes approximately two hours. If travelling from Edinburgh, drive west through the city or go via the city bypass to South Gyle. From there, connect to the M9 at the Newbridge roundabout and follow the signposts for Stirling. Bypass Stirling and take junction 10 to pick up the A84 and follow the signposts to Callander. Continue on the A84 through Callander, Strathyre, and Lochearnhead. After Lochearnhead there is a long hill through Glenogle, and when you hit the big downhill on the other side look for the signpost for Killin (A827) where the road forks right (at the Lix Toll Garage). Killin is only two miles down this road. Once you enter the village look for the South Loch Tay/Ardeonaig road which turns off to the right just after some cottages on the right hand side of the road at the Falls of Dochart. The Clachaig Hotel and Salmon Lie Pub sit on the corner by the South Loch Tay Road. The village main street is across the bridge to your left. If you end up here then you have gone too far. Instead follow the South Loch Tay Road as it winds the last three miles to Firbush. Take it easy here. There are many sharp ends and blind summits to undermine those in a hurry. Firbush sits off to the left of the main road, and is very well signposted. .
