This year, as a new event during the Cameron Area Arts Festival, some local gardens will be on display. This is a self-directed driving/walking/ biking tour, free of charge. This means you do not have to be at a certain place at a certain time, and there may not be anyone available to guide you through their gardens, although most of the homeowners will be available from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, July 3 to answer questions. Please do not enter the property unless invited; most of the tour is visible from the street or sidewalk, and care must be taken not to disturb any of the flowers or Walker Home plantings. There has been much work and love shown in each of these properties, and the homeowners have done a beautiful job of making their part of Cameron a better place. There are many yards and gardens in the area Wetzel Home that are also very attractive, but these were nominated for this year’s event. Perhaps this will inspire someone to start another garden club in the area, as there is not one at the Cameron Veteran’s Memorial moment. Gardens on display, and some of the highlights, are at these addresses: Submitted Photo The Cameron Veteran’s Memorial on (L-R) Margaret Leibrandt, T.J.
