1 welcome welcome booklet 2021 – 2022

You have the opportunity to be among the very first students to enjoy our brand new building, designed by internationally renowned architect Renzo Piano, and to be a part of the School’s next chapter. His architecture reflects our establishment’s intention: to bring together the scientific disciplines and expose students to science. You will be taught within the teaching and research departments (DER in French), which provide early and immersive contact with the world of research by making extensive use of laboratories along your study path. Our teams will provide most of you with support in accompanying you towards your doctorate. Within Université -Saclay, The School fits into a unique scientific ecosystem that alone represents 13% of all French research. Science and knowledge are now without borders: this means that the presence of many foreign students on our campus is also an opportunity. More than ever, we are forced by the current health crisis to ensure the health and well-being of the students studying here. We trust that you will protect those around you by following the distancing measures and applying the instructions you will be given at the start of the academic year.
