Nature Cat averages nearly 10 million streams per month across all PBS Kids digital platforms. Since the 2016 premiere, 10 that Changed America has been broadcast more than 10,000 times on PBS across 661 channels. Ongoing technology improvements are critical to our ability to produce and share quality content today and in the future. WTTW and WFMT’s endowment is an enduring revenue source that is vital to our long-term health as an organization. Our practice of designating realized and unrealized planned gifts pledged during the campaign to the endowment ensures it will continue to grow beyond the life of the campaign. Since 2012, the Newton N. Minow Founders Society has grown from 184 to 335 members. $45.5 million The endowment has grown by more than 68%, and donors have pledged an additional $10 million in bequest intentions. $27 million 2012 2018 There are six ways to enjoy Chicago Tonight: on air, on the WTTW website, via the WTTW app, on Facebook Live, on YouTube Live, 6 and via the Chicago Tonight podcast. Chicago Tonight digital audience growth 70% increase in monthly video streams. 205% increase in monthly pageviews. Through a generous gift to the endowment, Chicago Tonight holds the first named staff position in our organization’s history, the Alexandra and John Nichols Chief Correspondent and Host. Veteran correspondent Phil Ponce is the first to hold this new position. A community cornerstone of the Imagining More campaign was My Neighborhood: Pilsen. Residents and leaders of Pilsen shared their stories of change through WTTW’s original documentary, website, social media and public awareness campaign, and engagement activities. The WFMT Tape Archive features interviews, lectures, and spoken word performances from a vast range of 20th century luminaries featured on the air between 1952 and 2000. The project’s benefits go far beyond historical preservation as WFMT hosts incorporate archival interviews into new programs.
