Entrambe le produzioni verranno infatti animate attraverso scenografie proiettate in alta definizione e in 3D, soluzione di straordinario impatto visivo predisposta fin dal 2009 da Enrico Castiglione e che @informazionecs consente il rispetto del sito archeologico, velocità nel cambio scena, possibilità di programmare sera dopo sera allestimenti diversi, ma soprattutto di affascinare lo spettatore più esigente così come il fruitore non abituale dello spettacolo operistico, grazie all’uso della più moderna tecnologia, riuscendo a trasformare come d’incanto il Teatro Antico in un palazzo imperiale dell’antico Egitto o nel tempio di Salomone. Dunque il “Coraggio”. Il coraggio di un popolo che inneggia alla nostalgia e all’amor di patria, come insegna il verdiano Nabucco, dramma lirico in quattro parti di Temistocle Solera, prescelto per onorare il 150° Anniversario dell’Unità d'Italia: tre recite (5, 9 e 13 agosto) e un cast che schiera artisti di fama mondiale, come Juan Pons, Chiara Taigi, Francesco Ellero D’Artegna, Eufemia Tufano, affiancati da Massimiliano Chiarolla, Antonio De Gobbi, Renato Cazzaniga, Maria Cioppi, con il Coro lirico “Francesco Cilea” diretto da Bruno Tirotta. L’Orchestra Sinfonica Festival Euro Mediterraneo è diretta da Pier Giorgio Morandi, regia e scene sono di Enrico Castiglione, i costumi di Sonia Dal mondo dei blog Cammarata. Il nuovo allestimento, realizzato in esclusiva dalla Fondazione Festival Euro Mediterraneo per Taormina Arte, sarà eccezionalmente trasmesso in diretta via satellite dalla RAI con action la regia televisiva in alta definizione dello stesso Enrico Castiglione nelle principali sale 4 minuti fa cinematografiche del mondo attraverso la rete di Microcinema ed Emerging Pictures.     International Ballet Festival around the corner Havana’s Grand Theater Alicia Alonso and the National and Mella Theaters are ready for the 25th International Ballet Festival set for Oct 28th/Nov 6th in the Cuban capital. Dance Americana is coming from the United States to perform on October 29th and 30th at the National Theater. Artistically directed by New York City Ballet soloist dancer and choreographer in residence, Justin Peck, Dance America also includes other outstanding figures, such as New York City ballet principals Sara Mearns and Amar Ramasar. In creases, Furiant, and Rodeo: four dance episodes make up the company’s repertoire for the important Havana dance extravaganza. Les Grands Ballets Canadiens is also scheduled to perform at the National Theater on November 1st with the piece Black Milk, bringing some of its most important dancers, such as Marcin Kaczorowski, Jeremy Raia, Andrew Wright, Jeremy Rivera and Hervé Courtain. Les Grands Ballets Canadiens was founded in Montreal, Canada, in 1957, by Ludmila Chiriaeff, one of the northern country’s most relevant personalities with the aim of showing the audience a repertoire based on the different forms of classical dance. The Nov 1st recital at the National Theater also includes performances by dancers from the Royal Dutch Ballet, the New York City Ballet, the National Ballet of Mongolia, and Cuba is bringing representatives from the Cuban National Ballet, and the Irene Rodríguez Company and Acosta Danza. One of the modern era’s most acclaimed dancers, Whelan was a principal ballerina for NYCB and, over the course of her celebrated career, danced numerous ballets by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, as well as new works by more modern standout choreographers like Christopher Wheeldon and Alexei Ratmansky; many roles were made specifically for Whelan. As the film opens, Whelan is 46, battling a painful injury that has kept her from the ballet stage, and facing the prospect of her impending retirement from the company. What we see, as we journey with her, is a woman of tremendous strength, resilience and good humor. We watch Whelan brave the surgery that she hopes will enable her comeback to NYCB and we watch her begin to explore the world of contemporary dance, as she steps outside the traditionally patriarchal world of ballet to create Restless Creature, a collection of four contemporary vignettes forged in collaboration with four young choreographers. Throughout Linda Saffire and Adam Schlesinger’s riveting documentary, we watch Whelan grapple with questions of her own identity and worth. Historical footage shows her dancing as a very young girl in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, then as a teenager on her own in New York and, finally, as a rising ballerina with the company.
