It was during the summer vacations of rny college years at Bowdoin, and the Olcl Orcharcl of that halcyon era was not the Old Orchard of the present day-but that is another story. As a part of thr routine of my job, particularly before the variecl activities of the resort itself were in full swing, I used to ramble occasionallv along that wonderful beach to Pine Point to gather up whateve1· stray items might seem worthy of publication in the Sea Shell the next clay.
