Established July 2009 Wakayama Prefecture’s This center, located at the center of Wakayama City, has some of Japan’s leading facilities and equipment, including highly advanced southern area medical examination and measurement apparatus such as three- dimensional motion analyzer and artificial climate chamber, as well as a large-scale treadmill specially developed to research sports for people with disabilities. The center is comprised of a medical care division that conducts medical training focusing on rehabilitation, and a research division that conducts research in sports as well as training support.
