NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CELCOM CUSTOMERS ENJOY LOCAL ROAMING RATES WHEN TRAVELLING ABROAD KUALA LUMPUR, 12 NOVEMBER 2010 - Celcom Axiata Berhad [formerly known as Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad], the most experienced and premier leading mobile telecommunications service provider in the country is proud to introduce “Axiata Roam” where Celcom’s prepaid and postpaid customers can enjoy local rates while making calls home when travelling overseas. As a partner of ‘Axiata Roaming’ network, this initiative is intended to cater to the increasing demand of roamers across the region. These are part of our year-end savings for Celcom’s customers travelling during the period of the promotion, which is valid effective November 1 2010 until 28 February next year. This was made possible in collaboration with Celcom’s parent company, Axiata, for all Celcom prepaid and postpaid customers who roam in countries that are connected to Axiata’s network of mobile operators in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Cambodia. In line with this, customers are set to enjoy great savings on phone roaming charges when they make outbound calls to Malaysia. With these low rates, Celcom customers will enjoy the tariff from RM0.30sen per minute as if they are subscribers of the visited network while connecting to the following operators in the respective countries - Dialog Telekom PLC (Sri Lanka), XL (Indonesia), Robi (Bangladesh) and Hello (Cambodia). To enjoy the special data roaming charges, customers are required to have an active Celcom prepaid or postpaid lines and activate their international roaming service. Both Celcom prepaid and postpaid customers can enjoy the low rate via Direct Dial service or by pressing *120* followed by the desired number they wish to be in touch with. “The current perception is that making calls home from mobile phones when travelling abroad is expensive. However, with Celcom’s affordable call rates, it is certainly very much more convenient to make calls home from overseas with your Celcom postpaid or prepaid mobile. We want our customers to feel that they are valuable and Celcom thinks about them when they travel.
