The Corporate Social Responsibility in Lidl’s Communication Campaigns in Croatia and the UK Abstract The purpose of the paper was to investigate whether Lidl uses CSR communication in their Advertising and Communication Campaigns in two different business contexts, and if so, how. The paper built upon existing analyses of CSR Communication by analysing Lidl’s websites in both countries, and went step forward and analysed TV adverts of the company in both countries as well. The analysis discovered importance of the social context in using CSR to promote business, as well as a different communication management strategy where Lidl does not communicate with UK public as extensively as with the Croatian public due to different views on the CSR communication.

Grocery Deal Site Aisle50 Enters Oklahoma Market With Homeland Stores Partnership Homeland becomes third partner chain in U.S., following Lowes Foods and Shop ʻn Save, bringing service to 20 million consumers in nine states OKLAHOMA CITY August 30, 2012 -- Aisle50, the innovative online technology platform that delivers deep grocery discounts on major and local brands to consumers, has reached an agreement with the Oklahoma City-based Homeland Stores grocery chain to offer Aisle50ʼs exclusive deals to customers as Homeland launches its new One Card. With agreements already in place with North Carolina-based Lowes Foods and Pennsylvania- based Shop ʻn Save, the new agreement provides Aisle50ʼs technology platform and significant product discounts to more than 20 million potential consumers through 226 stores. “Weʼre excited about the rollout of our new One Card, and with it, introducing Aisle50 deals to our shoppers,” said Phil Payment, vice president of marketing and merchandising at Homeland. “Our goal is to bring the best grocery deals and available technology to our consumers and Aisle50 fits into that mission well.” Based in Oklahoma City, Homeland Stores operates 76 stores across Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas serving an area of nearly 4 million people. “Our job is to get new people to buy our CPG clientsʼ products and, just as important, to drive people into our retail partnersʼ stores, and thatʼs what weʼve been able to do thus far for our partners at Lowes Foods and Shop ʻn Save,” said Christopher Steiner, co-founder of Aisle50. “And as our consumer following grows every day; weʼre excited to partner with Homeland which is clearly demonstrating progressive leadership in the grocery space.” Aisle50 was founded by Steiner and Riley Scott with the goal of bringing the group-buying paradigm to the world of consumer packaged goods, a $2 trillion business in the United States.
