Julie has spent much of day drawing school taught by her retirement collecting these fashion dolls and university educators. dressing them in a variety of themes ranging from historical period dress to cultural costumes, to haute Drawings by Molly: couture to dress representing various current day celebrities. Julie makes many of the clothes and accessories from scratch or modifies the existing clothes the dolls are purchased in. Apparently collecting and dressing such dolls is a very popular hobby in The United States where Julie sources many of her dolls. The cost per doll ranges from around $200.00 upwards so her hobby is certainly an expensive one when you consider the costs associated with over 500 dolls!

Our students enjoyed the exhibition, the dress-up area and photo booth as well as the associated fashion workshop. Many thanks to Sara and the Library staff for putting so much effort into this exhibition and the excursions overall.
