The principal and any other homes of Assembly Members 23 November 2010 Dear Request for Information. I refer to your request received on 29 October in which you asked, How do I establish the local authority areas in which are the principal and any other homes of an Assembly Member that are in any way supported financially by public money? My initial response dated 01 November provided advice that all second homes against which Additional Cost Allowance (ACA) expenses are claimed are sited within 5 miles of the Assembly estate in Cardiff Bay. Following an examination of your request at a senior level internally I am now able to provide you with full details of the local authority areas where properties against which Assembly Members claim ACA are sited. This examination identified that some of this information is already published on the National Assembly for Wales’s website and that in fact more than one of the properties are located in the Vale of Glamorgan local authority. I apologise for any incorrect information previously provided. Full details are provided in the following schedule.
