And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.” – Isaiah 11:11-12 The Great Awakening: Hebrews to Negroes Mega Conference to be held in Detroit, MI, 11 – 14 July 2019, will bring together people from all settings who are awakened to or curious about their Hebrew Identity with the objective of building unity and strengthening relationships between the Hebrew community and the business, academic, social, political and faith sectors to enhance their roles in the awakening movement. The Conference includes Hebrew to Negroes Movie: Revelation, a Panel Discussion, nearly 20 workshops, a Hebrew Musical, 300 plus Hebrews in Intercessory Prayer, a Unity Sabbath Service, an All-White Party Boat Cruise, a Banquet and Award Ceremony, a Lake Baptism, and an Old-school style Family Cookout. The Great Awakening: Hebrews to Negroes Mega Conference 2019 convenes awakened persons, spiritual practitioners, educators, community leaders and some of the world’s most sought after thought speakers on this subject at the Cobo Convention Center Downtown Detroit for a weekend of exploration in the areas of education, leadership, character building, professional development, worship, fellowship, opportunities, and networking connections that enables a culture of collaboration. More than 300 Hebrews and their families will travel to Detroit this July to gain access to opportunities that only this unique conference can offer. Conference Objectives: 1. To support the conference focus, “The Great Awakening”, by providing attendees with practical knowledge and tools that they can use to continue to awaken the dispersed of Israel. 4 | Page GREATHEBREWAWAKENING.ORG 2. To raise awareness about how African Americans and other Bantus Negroes around the world are fulfilling biblical prophecy by rediscovering their ancient identity 3. To showcase diversity in the Hebrew culture across diverse factions and settings 4. To support networking and sharing among Hebrews (African Americans) from all settings within the business, entertainment, academic, political and faith continuum. 5. To continue to build the momentum and celebrate the culture of the Hebrew community in the US and beyond. 6. To highlight the people, assemblies, organizations, and education in advancing the Hebrew movement. Conference Goals: 1. increases awareness of, knowledge about, and appreciation for issues unique to African American who have discovered their Hebraic roots. 2. seeks to educate and update African Americans on trends and issues related to the rapidly growing Hebrew community through sharing information on research, educational opportunities, regional resources, new communities, prophetic events, community issues, and trends. Conference Program Elements The conference program will consist of workshop sessions that: 1. Reflect elements of the black community, both within the Hebrew setting and within the community at large, and how this impacts the culture of people of color, 2. Include practical tools for implementation of person-centered practices, providing attendees with what they need to implement what they learn. 3. Reflect the knowledge and experiences of those who work on the frontline of the Hebrew movement and who are engaged in living these practices every day. 4. Are inclusive, ensuring diverse voices are represented and supported in planning and delivery. The conference program will include the voices of Hebrew leaders and engage people of all ages in sharing and exploring what it means to reconnect to historical roots. 5. Are interactive and experiential, providing a safe and engaging space where participants actively engage with ideas and have opportunities for critical reflection and dialogue with each other. The program will welcome vibrant, creative and non-traditional approaches to share information (e.g., use of technology, performing arts, fine arts, media, narratives, poetry, photography, small art installations, etc.), in addition to more traditional panel presentations followed by facilitated discussion. 6. The Registration table will also be located on the 300 Level (3RD Floor) of the Cobo Convention Center directly outside of 310A General Session area. Greeters will be available in the hotel lobbies to direct you to these Conference registration table. If you have pre-registered for the conference, we will have your demographic information. You will be asked to verify your info at the registration desk. Once you Check in you will receive your: 1. The registration table will be open the following hours: Thursday (at the Landmark Main Art Theatre): 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday 7:30am – 12:00pm and 1:30pm-4:00pm Saturday: 7:30am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm Sunday: CLOSED (All registration materials will be shut down) Conference Policies Please be advised that registering for the Great Awakening Hebrews to Negroes Conference denotes that you have read and agree to comply with the Conference Policies. 7 | Page GREATHEBREWAWAKENING.ORG • Conference Name Tags, Wristbands and/or Badges must be worn at all times during conference hours and in conference areas. • Transferring or sharing badges with non-registered individuals is prohibited. • The Great Awakening Hebrews to Negroes Conference will replace a registrant’s lost wristband or badge one time only for a nominal fee. • The use of the GREAT AWAKENING name/logo or Conference name/logo without prior permission or approval is strictly prohibited. This includes usage in any marketing or advertising materials and social media or website posts. The Conference name may only be used in marketing efforts in the appropriate context of attending the GREAT AWAKENING Conference. • The selling and direct delivery of merchandise on the Sabbath (Friday 6pm – Saturday 6pm) is strictly prohibited at the Great Awakening Hebrews to Negroes Conference. • Workshop Breakout rooms will close once the room capacity has been reached. • Room capacities adhere to the Fire Code.
